The Lie that was Saved

Serena turned and took a small vial from a shelf filled with potions. The vial was made of blackish-purple glass, and its contents seemed to shimmer strangely.

"Here," Serena said, handing the bottle to Darnisha. "This potion will cure Princess Katy. Give her a drop every hour. But remember, if Princess Katy recovers, what happened yesterday must not happen again."

Darnisha accepted the bottle with trembling hands. She didn't care and the most important thing was that Princess Katy could recover.

"Thank you, Serena," Darnisha said, then rushed out of the rickety hut. The commotion and silence of the forest greeted her, but this time she was not afraid. She carried hope in her hands, hope for Princess Katy's recovery.
