Abandoned

Hearing the knocking, I was a little annoyed. I couldn't even bite my food, and now they were disturbing me again. Can't I eat my food peacefully?

"What happened?"

I asked with a little cold voice.

"I called the guard officers."

I said a little angrily. The other person looked at me for a moment and I don't know what he felt but then he hurriedly took away the kidnappers.

I sighed and looked at the table. Theodore was eating slowly and sometimes looked at me and his food.

"Don't look anywhere when you eat. Eat slowly but quickly. We will have to go from here."

I said. Then walk over to the table and sat down to eat.

After eating, we took our belongings and went down.

When they came down they saw the guard standing on the inn's first floor. Even though it is the city of the commoner, an official officer maintains this city. Even though the officers don't interact with the common people.

I didn't think well. I am too impulsive. But there is nothing I can do. Both Theodore and I have to leave this city peacefully. I don't want to fight here needlessly.

When Theodore and I came down, the inn's manager walked towards us with an awkward smile.

The guard said awkwardly while he took a step back.

After my words fell, the guard took a few more steps back while hearing me.

He muttered distortedly took the tied kidnapper's rope in one hand and left the inn quickly as if someone was chasing him down. After coming out of the inn, he sighed in relief. Then he looked at both the kidnappers and said angrily while kicking them a little.

"What the hell did you do? The work was done by you two who I don't even know but it came backfired towards me. After I take both of you to the prison cell, I will torture you for the humiliation you both brought to me. Hmph."

Saying this, he took both of them from there to the prison.

In the meantime, Alexandria and Theodore were standing on the inn's first floor while looking at the manager. The manager was both awkward and feeling down while shivering as if winter's cold wind fell on him.

"Manager."

I called him. Hearing my words, he startled a little while turning his head towards us.

He said with a trembling voice.

"I hope when I come back again later, you will be here. Also, be careful before that when you hire people again. This advice for you."

Theo entered the house and I followed him. When I entered I looked around the inside. No sane person would live here. Even though it was practically cleaner than the other place there is nothing not even a bed. Where did they sleep till now?

The upper side of the house is broken here and there if it rains then the rainwater will fall and the people who live here will soak in rainwater. A healthy person will also die in two or three months if they live here in rainy weather. It is a suicidal place. The fence of the house is also not good. There are also some big holes in some places. If any python tried to enter from the big hole then they could enter and eat both father and son in one swallow. Both Theo and his father lived in this cruel place. No one helped them. They were in more dire situation than the slum people that live here.

But when the father and son lived here miserably, the relatives of them lived peacefully without any worry. What a bunch of greedy people! Don't worry, Theo. I will make you stronger so that you can take revenge on your own. Let them suffer ten times more than you. They also should know what it's like to live like this.

I made up my mind when I was planning revenge. Theo needs to become more noble than them and stronger than them. So no one can look down on him. I will help him. Also, after I go to the Herald family, I will ask my grandfather to adopt him. Then no one from the Liam family can go against him.
