Over the next few days, Jack continued to attend Cobra Kai. Each training session was a new discovery, a dive into a world of discipline and technique that contrasted with the raw fighting style he had learned on the streets. Johnny Lawrence was a demanding sensei, but Jack struggled to keep up and learn the fundamentals of karate. His movements still carried the swing and unpredictability of street fighting, but now, with Johnny's guidance, he began to hone his skills, combining brute strength with refined technique.
Every day, Jack watched Johnny more closely, trying to decipher the enigma that was his father. He admired Johnny's discipline and determination, but he also saw his flaws and frustrations. Johnny was a man marked by the past, haunted by mistakes and regrets. Jack wondered if he could forgive him, if he could build a relationship with him.
Meanwhile, Jack's friendship with Samantha deepened. They talked about everything, shared their fears and dreams, and supported each other through difficult times. Jack felt more and more attracted to Samantha, but he was hesitant to take the next step. He didn't want to ruin their friendship, and he also didn't feel confident enough to start a relationship.
One day, Samantha told Jack about Robby Keene, the new guest in her house. She described Robby as a kind and intelligent boy who was working with her father at the dealership. Jack felt a twinge of jealousy, but he was also curious to meet Robby. He wondered if Robby would be a friend or a rival, and how his presence would affect his relationship with Samantha.
— He looks like you. — Samantha commented, watching Jack's reaction.
Jack frowned in confusion.
— What do you mean? — he asked.
— Physically speaking, you're just a little taller than him — Samantha explained. — He's the same age as you, dark brown hair, blue eyes...
Jack was intrigued by how this guy really looked like him? Did his bastard father have sex with other women and had other children? Jack laughed at this, it wouldn't be too difficult for that to happen, he knew Johnny well enough to be sure of that.
"He seems like a nice guy," Samantha continued, not noticing Jack's confusion. "He's helping my dad at the dealership, and they're getting along well."
Jack nodded, trying to assimilate the information. He didn't know what to think, or how to act. He needed time to process it all.
That night, Jack came home, with questions and interested in knowing who this guy was that Samantha was talking about. He was really feeling a bit jealous about all of this, the way she talked about him...
Shit I shouldn't feel this way anymore if I don't take a step forward I'll end up losing her and I'll definitely regret this...
