Chapter 3: The Party
They drove straight into a mansion. Even though that mansion was huge but in compare to the one Luna woke up in it was nothing.
Luna walked beside Mr. Andrew. The moment they entered all the eyas were on them. Specially, Luna. People began to whisper among which other. It reminded Luna of the high society in her world. It was the same even after so many years THIS never changed.
A gentleman with black hair and eyes who was around 40 walked towards them.
He started by greeting Mr. Andrew
"Good evening, Mr. Andrew. How are you doing?"
Mr. Andrew nodded; everyone was able to see the gentleman's nervousness. He continued, he without a beat got to point
"May I ask who is the lady beside you?".
Mr. Andrew's eyes darken as he said
"You know her. It's Luna clerk".
Everyone's jaw dropped. While the whispers grew Luna was just think that her full name is Luna clerk. The person she has reborn into is Luna clerk. Mr. Andrew at that time was surrounded by people.
Just as Luna was about to drink the wine in her hand, a voice called out from behind
"Luna clerk."
Luna turned and saw a group of girls. Girls were wearing more revealing dresses than hers.
Luna stayed silent. One of the girls who seemed to be their leader said
"You, you will never be beautiful. You are still ugly."
Luna amused said
"Sorry I'm not a mirror of yours."
The girl was taken back. She said
"you…you…I will never forgive you."
Luna said
"Forgive me for what?".
The girl's face boiling with anger said
"Don't play dumb I know."
Luna just ignored her. Girl visibly angry stormed off.
It was mostly the second half of the party when music began to start. One by one many men asked Luna for being their dance partner for one song.
Even before she her-self can say anything Mr. Andrew stood in front of her. Towering over her, he said to others
"Luna will ONLY be MY PARTNER."
Everyone backed off. Luna was relived and said
"Thank you. But can you excuse me for a moment I need to use bathroom."
Mr. Andrew nodded. She found her way somehow.
The moment she saw the mirror she noticed… The necklace….IS GONE. She hurried back to the ballroom. When she was still searching guards announced
"Mr. Blackwood has arrived."
She turned and saw it...
Mr. Blackwood was none other than Demon lord. She was certain as a birth mark was there near his right eye. Demon lord who just entered found Luna started walking towards her.
He took her land and planted a soft kiss. He started introducing himself
"Good evening my lady, I'm Julian blackwood. Nice to meet you."
Luna gave a polite smile and said
"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Blackwood, I'm Luna Clerk."
Demon lord now Julian said
"Just call me Julian, Luna."
He leaned in and in a voice level where only two of them can hear said
"I'm demon lord. This is my new body from now on, A multi billionaire business man."
The whispers started again but this time even more. Julian in front of everyone said
"Lady Luna, would you mind if I have a dance with you."
Luna who was relived that at least this guy is going to be with her agreed.
Mr. Andrew was dumb founded and he got to know one thing that there was something between Julian and Luna.
They danced in the ballroom. While others were whispering about how Luna clerk was strange and Mr. Andrew and Mr. Blackwood was now into Luna.
