JENNY'S VISIT TO LA

LUCIANs PoV

I was cozied up in my room, surrounded by pillows and blankets, getting lost in a romantic novel. It was a lazy weekend afternoon, and I had just finished having a relaxing breakout session. I decided to indulge in some romance, feeling like I was now part of the "lovebirds" club.

As I turned the pages, I became completely absorbed in the story. But my tranquility was disrupted when my phone rang. I picked it up, and Jenny's cheerful voice filled my ears.

"Hey, girl! I'll be coming to LA in two days' time," she announced, her excitement infectious.

I felt a sudden jolt of surprise, and my mind started racing. What was Jenny doing here? And why was she coming to visit me?

"Alicia is already staying with her man now, so it's boring down here," Jenny continued. "I'll be coming because I was given some free time from work, and I wanted to come and see you. It's been a long time, and I miss you, my girl."

I forced a smile, trying to sound enthusiastic despite my growing unease. "Hey, Jenny! That's great news! I've missed you too, girl. Can't wait to see you!"

"I know right?" I replied, trying to sound enthusiastic. "I miss you too, Jenny. I'm so excited to see you!"

Jenny and I chatted for a bit longer, catching up on each other's lives. Finally, she said, "Just get ready, I'll be coming over. Then you can take me around LA."

After we hung up, I stood there, lost in my own thoughts. Why was Jenny coming to LA? What if Ace still had feelings for her? What if he left me for her?

I was pacing back and forth in my room, trying to shake off the uneasy feeling, when my phone rang. It was Sarah. I told her about Jenny's visit and my fears, but she just asked me to calm down and told me we'd talk about it tomorrow.

I wasn't satisfied with her response, and I continued to pace around my room, feeling anxious and unsure. Just as I was starting to feel like I was going to explode, my doorbell rang.

I went to the door to see who it was, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw Ace standing there. He looked at me with concern, and before I could say anything, he placed a gentle kiss on my lips.

But as he pulled back, he saw the worried look on my face, and his expression changed. "What's up?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle.

I hesitated, unsure of how to share my concerns with Ace. But as I looked into his eyes, I saw the love and concern shining back at me, and I knew I had to be honest with him.

"It's just...Jenny's coming to visit," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "And I'm worried...what if you still have feelings for her?"

Ace's expression softened, and he took a step closer to me. "Babe, I told you, I'm committed to you," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "I don't have feelings for Jenny anymore. You're the one I want to be with."

I looked up at him, searching for reassurance. Ace's eyes locked onto mine, and I could see the sincerity and love shining back at me.

But despite his words, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. What if Jenny's arrival changed everything? What if Ace realized he still had feelings for her?

I took a deep breath, trying to push aside my doubts. "I'm sorry, Ace," I said, trying to sound calm. "I just can't help but feel a little insecure."

Ace's expression softened, and he pulled me into a gentle hug. "You have nothing to be insecure about, babe," he whispered. "I love you, and I'm not going anywhere."

As Ace held me close, I felt a sense of comfort and reassurance wash over me. I knew that I had to trust him, and that he wouldn't do anything to hurt me.

But just as I was starting to feel better, Ace's phone rang. He hesitated for a moment before answering it, and I could sense a slight tension in his body.

"Hey, Dad," he said, his voice neutral.

I couldn't hear the other person's response, but Ace's expression changed slightly. He looked at me, and I could sense a hint of unease in his eyes.

"Okay, Dad, I understand," he said, his voice firm. "I'll take care of it."

He hung up the phone and turned to me, his expression serious.

"What's wrong?" I asked, feeling a sense of concern.

Ace took a deep breath before responding. "That was my dad. He reminded me that I have only a few weeks left to...to show my bride, or else my right to inherit will be handed over to my brother, Herod."

I felt a jolt of surprise at his words. What did he mean by "show my bride"? And what was this about inheriting something?

Ace's mood had changed, and I could sense a hint of tension in his body. I didn't know what to say, so I just looked at him, waiting for him to explain further.
