Regressor

[…]

The scene should have been pure chaos but people here are used to this stuff now. There is no running around like a madman, every student is on high guard, making battle formation.

We got the news about the breach 15 minutes ago, students from each class gathered around the campus field. Some students are still gathering but overall everyone is ready to fight the horde.

Everyone here is in casual clothes, making it easier to maneuver.

It's a horde type breach. So, mostly there will be mortal rank creatures even so their sheer numbers would make for the less rank.

Even though we are going to face those monsters, everyone is quite chill, laughing around not really considering them a threat.

"I would have also done the same if not for the fact, I know what would happen."

That's right, I have regressed back to 20 years. In the galactic war which will happen 20 years from now, earth will lose its strongest fighters and be destroyed against the collective force of hundred's of galaxies.

I was also one of the strongest that time, using my own peak of Star Level strength I forcefully regressed myself back a few years from now.

I had wasted my time in my previous life, wasting my time making friends and having fun. This time I have stopped with these useless things, focusing purely on my strength and nothing else.

I stop my useless thoughts, my eyes started wandering around stopping at a silver haired boy. Even after regressing, I'm still behind that monster Kaltain.

He stood in front leading us, his tall figure and attractive visage making him stand out. He was wearing a white oversized t-shirt with a black jacket and cargo pants.

Is that something you would wear in a fight? Maybe I'm just jealous of strength, nitpicking on him.

It's not like I'm much different, wearing a black tactical hoodie and tank top with slim cargo pants and fingerless gloves. My glossy black hair tied in a pony.

Moving in the crowd, another person caught my eyes. My previous life's best friend Edith.

In this life we didn't even communicate, previously in this fight she was killed by the horde not because she was weak rather because she got betrayed.

I will definitely save her this time, we aren't friends this time but that doesn't mean I have forgotten the time we spent.

I clenched my fists firmly resolving my spirit to fight these abominations and after this save my planet from destruction.

"This is my first serious battle, from this day onward. The mission to save earth begins… "

...

The creatures came, causing tremors and destroying buildings. Moving like rabid beasts salivating at our sight. The creatures were four limbed, small in size, their scarlet skin closely attached to their bone.

The strong point of these creatures was their speed, nearly at the speed of gales.

The creatures clashed, but were quickly thwarted by the collective force of the students at front, especially Kaltain.

He was not doing much, walking in slow pace his presence itself was enough to kill the mortals. The gravity turned them into paste before they could even attack.

The entire assault was handled by him alone, this went on until a Rift Dweller arrived. He turned his attention towards it and went to fight it.

Immediately the entire situation changed, the weaker students got killed by relentless attacks of the creatures.

The entire battlefield turned into a blood bath, creatures tore any lacking students off, attacking them in groups, mutilating them without much struggle.

I finally joined the fray, I was blocked by Kaltain's simps. Using my time manipulation skills, decelerating their time.

I ripped those crawlers apart by my bare hands, one after bodies of these crawlers piled up. My hands got bruised, blood was dripping from my body…just not mine.

Our college turned into ruins, not just our college but the entirety of sector 15, the damage extended to other sectors too. The earth was also shaking for some reason, maybe some high tier beings were fighting.

It's probably Arceid, he is the only one with such strength.

I made my way up towards the front, searching for Planetoid Rank creatures.

Kaltain was alone holding them, he was surrounded by 12 of those Rift Dwellers.

I had already dwindled the crawler's numbers significantly. If someone still dies it's their fault.

Kaltain was hurling peebles at those Rift Dwellers, whose density was that of the Moon. Controlling the gravity he was reflecting the huge gales produced by those Rift Dwellers.

With a chop motion, he produced winds slashes enough to significantly damage the Dwellers.

Punching the Dweller trying to sneak up on Kaltain, I joined the battle.

Using my abilities, I slowed time. Dodging the Dwellers, and countering them with punches, kicks, headbuts, etc. which contained power to destroy hills with ease.

Kaltain passed me a sneaky glance and resumed his fight. With his single chopping motion, the winds trembled, hundreds of slashes emerged attacking the dwellers with extreme speed.

Instantly the Dwellers bodies were turned into minced meat, their gooey blood seeped along the debris.

"I guess, that's a synergy."

*Screech!!*

An extremely loud screech came from west of us, we instantly moved in the direction. There was nothing to block our vision, man-made or natural. Every obstacle was turned into dirt.

There we saw the monstrosity who nearly annihilated everyone present here in my previous life.
