The doctor glanced at her then at Matthew. He excused Matthew to have a word with Clementine. Matthew tapped him gently to be good that was when she knew she has been sweating. Her blouse was soaked in sweat.

She has been afraid of this. The reality is really hitting on her.

"You are six weeks pregnant Ms Clementine, the doctor stated. He stared at her and knew she wasn't ready for the pregnancy.

Clementine closed her eyes and her tears ran down her beautiful face. How could they do this to her? This is not how she planned her life.

The doctor looked at her and psychologically , he knew she was bittered and the thought of being pregnant had only added to her worse moments.

"Do you want to have an abortion? But the man who got you pregnant needs to sign, can I call him in?" the doctor advised.

"I don't know who got me pregnant, that young man is my best friend" Clementine blurted out sobbing but she regretted saying it. She should have kept quiet and walked away.

The doctor showed concerned although it's not part of his job description.He feel going to extreme just to help her.

"The more reason why you should terminate the pregnancy now that's too tender. But I would wish you don't indulge in such" the doctor advised. He felt pity for the lady. No wonder the young man asked persistently if she was pregnant.

Clementine thanked him and told him she will sleep over it to decide what's best.

"This is my complimentary card in case you want to reach out to me." The doctor said.

She accepted the card and went away with Matthew. They were quiet all through their journey home. Matt thought about what she's going to do, she doesn't know who got her pregnant and financially she's not bouyant to raise a kid. Matthew gave her a cup of water on getting home to calm her nerves.

Three days later, Evelyn and her fiance returned back from grocery store to make dinner but Clementine was nowhere to be found.

Earlier they had persuaded her to tag along but she refused with an excuse of being tired.

Evelyn really wanted to discuss how her first day at work will look like but she left without traces.

Her resumption day is Monday, she wanted to highlight her on the necessary things she will encounter. She had only worked in Watson's company. She needed someone to guide her on how to be an employee.

Matthew knew things were not right. Clementine went out? Well she would have waited until she returns. He brought out his phone and contacted her but she messaged him instead. The content of the message made him uttered some words to Evelyn with tears. Why didn't she trust him? Neither he nor Evelyn was complaining about accommodating her. His sister wasn't a problem. Evelyn didn't have a problem with her staying too. Why did she do what she did?

Evelyn who has been observing him went closer to him and placed her hands on his shoulder forcing him to look at her in the face.

"Is everything okay with her? You know you can tell me right? Evelyn said assuring him.

" She's pregnant and she left." He utter abruptly handing over his phone to her. Evelyn read the content of the message her eyes became dark and she glanced at her fiance who remained cold.

What kind of a message was this?

What does Clementine mean by her actions and the message she sent? Why would she think so unhealthy about them? Or does she thinks her baby will become a burden to them?

Evelyn became sobered. Had she done something that made her uncomfortable? or had she said anything bad to her? For the rest of the day Matthew and Evelyn were sad. They didn't expect that from Clementine, they thought she became a family. It's pained Matthew that she left without a tangible reason.
