Thousands of years ago, when Aaron killed Yhwach—seriously injured and on the brink of death—a question lingered in his mind.
If Yhwach truly possessed the power of "The Almighty", said to grant omniscience and omnipotence, then how could he have been killed?
Although this question didn't hinder Aaron's path to power, it would surface in his thoughts each time he grew stronger.
At first, Yu believed that the version of The Almighty he inherited from Yhwach was shaped by his own perception—limited and specific in scope.
However, after defeating all members of the Sternritter and absorbing the powers of their Schrift, he finally grasped what true omniscience and omnipotence meant.
The real Almighty is not merely a conceptual ability—it's a law unto itself, both unfathomable and intricately tied to causality.
For instance, when Yu engages an enemy in battle, activating The Almighty allows him to halt time at a specific point. During that suspended moment, he can project himself into the future, choose the outcome he desires, and enforce that change.
Once the result is secured, time resumes. Returning to the original point of suspension, he effectively rewrites the future to his advantage.
From this perspective, the terrifying nature of The Almighty lies in the fact that—before the enemy can even act—Yu has already tilted the flow of events entirely in his favor.
In such moments, Aaron is utterly invincible.
Ultimately, this is a power that allows him to rewrite fate.
And if there's any force in the Bleach universe that could counteract The Almighty, it would be the true power to stop time—not just pause it, but completely sever its progression.
After grasping the true nature of The Almighty, Yu found two more questions weighing on his mind:
First—how was Yhwach defeated by Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto a thousand years ago?
And second—how could a dying Yhwach, even weakened, still wield power Yu couldn't defeat when he was only at 80%?
After some contemplation, Yu compared his thoughts with events in the original Bleach timeline and managed to deduce the answer to the first question.
Back then, Genryūsai wasn't just at the peak of his power—he was the Sword Demon of Soul Society, the ruthless leader of the original Gotei 13.
Yamamoto had been willing to sacrifice everything to bring down Yhwach—treating comrades as pawns, setting the entire Seireitei ablaze, and ultimately unleashing his Bankai without hesitation, catching Yhwach off guard and delivering a devastating blow.
Having answered the first question, Yu turned his attention to the second.
And after prolonged thought, he arrived at a theory—far-fetched, yet one that eerily aligned with Bleach's hidden truths.
All signs pointed to one place:
The Soul King Palace.
Now that his questions had answers, Aaron was ready to ascend to the Soul King's domain.
At that moment, several afterimages flashed into view—Hirako Shinji and Urahara Kisuke had arrived.
"Teacher!"
Everyone bowed respectfully in greeting.
Yamamoto Genryūsai also approached from afar, accompanied by Kyōraku Shunsui and others.
A flash of wariness crossed Byakuya Kuchiki's eyes. Muramasa, now materialized beside him, stepped forward with a guarded expression, staring down Yamamoto and the others.
To Byakuya, both publicly and personally, Yamamoto was not someone he viewed favorably.
Urahara, Shinji, and the rest subtly stepped forward as well, hands resting on their Zanpakutō hilts.
For a moment, tension filled the air.
Aaron, however, remained calm—his face devoid of emotion as he watched Yamamoto approach.
Genryūsai stopped a short distance away, then stepped forward alone to meet Yu.
He sighed, then said solemnly, "On behalf of the Soul Society and the World of the Living, this old man thanks you. We are in your debt."
Aaron smiled lightly at his words. "It was a simple gesture. No need for gratitude or debts."
Turning away, he added, "I have other matters to attend to."
He nodded to those around him, his gaze lingering gently on Yoruichi Shihōin.
Yoruichi, slightly flustered under everyone's gaze, nodded back—her cheeks faintly flushed.
Standing beside Kyōraku, Unohana Retsu took notice of the exchange. She looked away quietly, her thoughts unreadable.
But when she looked up again, she found Aaron's gaze meeting her own—causing her heart to stir ever so slightly.
"…All of you, return for now," he said softly.
Aaron addressed everyone, then casually sliced open a black void in space with his hand.
As his words fell, he vanished into the spatial rift, which slowly closed behind him.
Soul Society – Phoenix Palace
Ōetsu Nimaiya lazily swung his hammer, striking the blazing red sword embryo resting atop his anvil.
Suddenly, a familiar yet strangely altered Reiatsu emerged just outside the Phoenix Palace.
"Huh?" he murmured, setting down his tools with a puzzled look and heading out of the palace.
Moments later, a familiar figure appeared before him.
"Master of the Blade, it's been a while," Aaron greeted with a smile.
"It hasn't been that long, but it sure feels like ages," Ōetsu chuckled, his usual playfulness replaced by a nostalgic sigh.
Looking at his old friend, Aaron cut straight to the point. "I need to see the Soul King."
Ōetsu's eyes flickered with surprise. He let out a deep breath. "I can agree to that, but convincing the other Royal Guard members might be a different story."
Aaron remained silent, quietly waiting.
After a moment of contemplation, Ōetsu sighed and shot into the sky.
As they journeyed toward the Soul King Palace, four more members of Squad Zero followed behind them.
Soon, a floating four-story palace came into view.
A burly bald man wearing a wide-sleeved haori, a thick crimson rosary around his neck, and a heavy black beard strode up to Aaron.
He eyed Aaron with a calm yet wary expression. "I'm curious—what makes you think we'd allow you into the Soul King Palace?"
The speaker was Ichibei Hyōsube, leader of Squad Zero, also known as the "Monk Who Calls the Real Name."
Aaron gave a brief glance toward the other Squad Zero members, then locked eyes with Ichibei. From the elder monk, he could sense a unique and mysterious power.
After a few seconds of silent confrontation, Aaron simply smiled and shook his head. A surge of overwhelming Reiatsu exploded from him, sending Ichibei flying.
"There are some things you understand better than I do," he said casually.
Ōetsu and the others were caught off guard by the sudden aggression, their expressions shifting with surprise.
At that moment, a four-colored light radiated from Aaron, swirling around him like a celestial orbit.
With a voice that echoed through the heavens, Aaron declared, "I'm not here to destroy your 'wedge.' I only seek the truth—answers I must hear directly from him."
"As for the fears of certain individuals… they are nothing more than the delusions of frogs at the bottom of a well."
With those words, Aaron vanished, leaving behind only stunned silence.
Ōetsu approached the fallen Ichibei, concerned. "What just happened?"
Ichibei's expression was unreadable. "Do you remember a thousand years ago, when you asked me about his Zanpakutō?"
"Of course," Ōetsu replied. "He was a genius… but even back then, he couldn't release his Shikai."
Ichibei sighed. "Had you not asked me, I may never have noticed him. When I tried to discern the name of his Zanpakutō, I discovered something troubling—I couldn't."
"No matter how I probed, something blocked me. An incomprehensible force… like a barrier of fate. If I had pushed further, I'm certain I would have suffered a backlash."
"Then I sensed something inside him… a power almost identical to the Soul King's—but even more transcendent."
His voice trembled with awe and fear. "If I had interfered, I fear I wouldn't have survived."
Though Ichibei never finished his thought, the other Squad Zero members, including Ōetsu, had already understood.
Spirit King Palace
The four-colored stream encircling Aaron pierced through countless barriers as if they didn't exist.
He finally arrived in a vast, empty hall—and laid eyes upon the Spirit King.
Suspended like an insect in amber, the Soul King appeared limbless, surrounded by a faint black aura.
As Aaron observed him silently, a heavy sigh echoed across the hall.
"You've finally arrived," came a deep, resonant voice.
Aaron immediately recognized it as the Soul King's. He nodded slightly, his expression calm despite the turmoil within.
After a long silence, the Soul King began to speak.
He told of a time long ago, when he was born and created the original world.
But the world he birthed was unstable, so to maintain balance, he separated his emotions—joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness—using them as spiritual wedges to stabilize the realms.
Eventually, the world split into four domains:
The Living World: Joy
Hueco Mundo: Anger
Hell: Sorrow
Soul Society: Happiness
He also gifted two opposing powers to the creatures of these worlds and to the Shinigami. But after his son was born—blind, mute, and immobile—he realized he still retained "love."
When he gave that love to his son, only part was absorbed. The rest vanished without a trace.
From that moment on, his son, Yhwach, gained the power of "Soul Distribution."
Having lost joy, anger, sorrow, happiness, and now love, the Soul King became like a living corpse—powerful, yet hollow.
As life in all worlds grew stronger, the balance began to fray again.
Just as he prepared to reclaim his power and start anew, the Shinigami rose up. They sealed him inside the current palace, using him as a wedge to hold the worlds together.
To prevent any chance of rebellion, they dismembered him—sealing his limbs, heart, and brain separately.
Centuries later, Yhwach—his son—learned the truth and fought against the Shinigami.
But weakened by giving his power to others, Yhwach was gravely wounded by Yamamoto Genryūsai.
At death's door, Yhwach shared a final telepathic moment with his father.
The Soul King revealed the existence of a boy—Aaron—who didn't belong to this world.
He believed the boy had the power to reshape existence itself.
Just as the father and son were planning their escape, a higher-dimensional force intervened—protecting Aaron and severing the connection.
Now, that same boy stood before the Soul King.
"You've taken my son's power," said the Soul King, "so… can you help me escape?"
His voice echoed with a mysterious, persuasive power, attempting to sway Aaron's will.
But Aaron remained unmoved. His eyes burned with clarity and resolve.
He turned away in silence.
The hall fell quiet once more, the Spirit King's sighs fading into emptiness.
As Aaron exited the palace, the members of Squad Zero watched him intently, hoping for answers.
He glanced around briefly, then fixed his gaze on Ōetsu.
"Thank you for everything," he said softly. "But this is probably the last time we'll meet."
Ōetsu's eyes widened in surprise, but before he could reply, Aaron disappeared into another dimensional rift.
As the others silently returned to their posts, only Ōetsu remained, eyes lingering on the space where Aaron had vanished.
"I wonder… just how far he'll go," he whispered.
Soul Society – 4th Division Barracks
Unohana Retsu sat alone in her captain's quarters, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a familiar energy fluctuation stirred behind her.
She turned to see Aaron standing there, smiling.
Before she could speak, a gentle force pulled her forward.
In the next instant, she found herself in his embrace.
Light flared.
They reappeared at Aaron's current residence.
Yoruichi, seeing them arrive, paused briefly—then smiled and walked to the kitchen.
The three shared a quiet dinner.
Later, Yoruichi slipped into the bathroom with a casual stride.
The sound of running water filled the house.
Unohana, face flushed, glanced at Aaron and quietly followed.
Years later, under the gentle night sky, Aaron stood on the balcony, watching the two women sleeping peacefully inside.
He summoned his Zanpakutō from the system's inventory.
A mysterious force enveloped him—compressing reality into the inner world of his blade.
There, time froze.
Wrapped in this timeless realm, Aaron stepped into a new world—one beyond space and time.
