"Gah! You bitchElaria, you foolish elf! Surrender your body to us. HAHAHAHHAHAHAH" NIBUA beady red eyes gleamed with arrogance.
"The age of you bitches are over! The lands outside this forest belong to the humans, and soon, the forests will belong to the Kobolds! You and your race… are nothing but slaves to us now AHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!"
The Koboldss screeched in agreement, pounding their weapons against the ground.
Renjiro's lips curled into a cold smirk. "Is that so?" Without another word, he raised his hand. "Kill them all."
A storm of arrows rained down from all directions, sharp as the fangs of a beast. Mixed within the barrage, fireballs and wind blades streaked through the air, lighting up the battlefield dark and miasma like battlefield.
Nibua's smug expression twisted in shock. "You foolish bitches think you can defeat the mighty Kobold the might me, HUH?!" He shouted at the archers' location and the elves in front of him.
But just as he prepared to order a counterattack, the ground shook violently beneath his feet. His blood ran cold. And then he saw them.
Ten colossal figures of solid stone, each standing over twenty meters tall, charged forward like moving mountains. Their massive rock fists clenched tightly, their glowing amber eyes locked onto the Kobolds like executioners delivering judgment.
Nibua's throat dried. His knees trembled. His mind screamed in panic.
"Gggggg-Giants Golem?!?!!"
….
The battle lasted half an hour. Not a single Kobold survived.
The elven army and Giants Golem had utterly wiped out the thousands of Kobolds that came to invade their land. Even those who tried to flee were hunted down before they could escape.
This was the power of the Giant Golems. And the Kobolds? They never stood a chance against them. Nibua, the once so arrogant Kobolds leader, had completely lost his dignity.
He was dragged before Renjiro, held tightly in the massive stone hand of a Mountain Giant. Only his head was left exposed, his body fully completely immobilized—he looked like a small rat caught in the palm of a giant.
The moment he laid eyes on Renjiro, Nibua's fear overwhelmed him.
"M-Mighty King! Pppp-Please, spare me!" he cried out, his sharp teeth chattering as he desperately pleaded for his life. "I-I can pay for your mercy! You know how wealthy us Kobolds are! I can offer you ransom—gold, jewels, whatever you want!"
Koboldss were infamous for their obsession with wealth, a trait they shared with dragons.
Unlike their weak physiques, their treasuries were astonishingly vast. In pursuit of gold and riches, they often go beyond Forest, raiding human caravans and attacking mercenary groups.
However, Kobolds were also cowards by nature. When faced with certain death, they would gladly trade their entire fortune just to survive.
"When Was the Last Time You Bathed?" Renjiro frowned, his expression full of disgust.
The Kobolds leader stayed ailent like he didn't understand the question.
"..."
"Augh…When was the last time you bathed?" he asked again, his nose wrinkling at the awful stench.
Nibua froze, as if the question had caught him off guard. "S-Strong Koboldss don't need to bathe!" he answered, puffing up his filthy chest in pride.
Renjiro sighed, shaking his head. Without another word, he took the white silk handkerchief that Elaria handed him and covered his nose and mouth.
Compared to the elves, who were naturally fragrant, Kobolds were disgustingly foul-smelling. No wonder they never got along with anyone.
Renjiro's voice turned cold. "How many Kobolds live in your land? How many soldiers do you have? And how many warriors?"
Nibua's beady eyes darted around nervously. "Uh… well…"
"Speak, or you die."
"I… I-I'LL TALK!" Nibua screamed, nearly peeing himself.
"W-We have nearly one hundred thousand Kobolds! Our army numbers around 30,000 soldiers! As for Strong warriors, we only have five—our King and four Kobolds elders!"
Elaria, standing beside Renjiro, whispered, "Your Majesty, he's telling the truth." As a high-ranking mage, she had ways of detecting lies and deceit.
Renjiro nodded. He proceeded to ask about the Kobolds' living location, its defensive structures, and the entry points leading into their territory. Nibua, desperate to prolong his miserable and disgusting life, answered everything without hesitation.
When the interrogation was over, Nibua clasped his hands together, trembling with hope.
"M-Mighty K-King! You promised to spare me!" he stammered, his voice filled with desperate anticipation.
Renjiro raised an eyebrow. "Did I?" He turned to Elaria. Elaria, completely serious, shook her head.
"No, Your Majesty never promised him anything."
Renjiro smirked, then gave a casual wave of his hand. "Take him away. Castrate him and then crush him to make sure he will suffer the pain he has given our soldiers."
Nibua's face drained of color. "Y-You liar! You filthy liar!" he shrieked, thrashing violently in the Mountain Giant's grasp. But his screams fell on deaf ears.
The Giant Golems silently turned, carrying Nibua deep into the forest. Moments later, a thunderous crunch echoed through the trees—Nibua was no more or to be exact his ability to reproduce was no more.
His screamings were still resounding in the area as the golems slowly crushed his body parts one by one.
At that moment, the system's voice rang in Renjiro's mind.
[Congratulations! You have won against the invasion army You have earned 30,000 gold coins!]
[Congratulations! You have completed the First Beginner Mission! You have unlocked the following buildings: Eternal Tree, Battleborn Tree, Elunarian Spring!]
[Return to your territory and activate the Eternal Tree! That will serve as your base in the Forest. Protect it well!]
As Renjiro absorbed the system's rewards and information, Elaria's voice took on a mischievous tone.
The stench of blood and Kobolds filth still lingered in the air. Renjiro had no intention of staying on the battlefield for a second longer.
Ever since becoming an elf, he seemed to have inherited their natural aversion to filth. Even the slightest stain on his elegant robes made his mind uncomfortable.
Now, standing in the aftermath of battle, surrounded by the blood and body remains of Kobolds, his disgust reached its peak or to be exact the original owner.
'I'm gonna have to do something about this.'
