Chapter 40: "The Immortal Realm"
Little Mu Chen's encounter with the mysterious woman left him with more questions than answers. Who was she, and how did she know so much about his immortality?
As he pondered these questions, Little Mu Chen felt a strange sensation coursing through his body. His divine powers, which had been growing rapidly since his discovery of his immortality, suddenly surged forward, propelling him to new heights.
Little Mu Chen's eyes widened in amazement as he felt his powers grow stronger and stronger. He was no longer just a cultivator - he was a being of immense power and potential.
And then, in an instant, everything changed. Little Mu Chen felt himself being pulled through space and time, his body dissolving into nothingness.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a completely new and unfamiliar realm. The sky was a deep shade of purple, and the air was filled with a sweet, floral scent.
Little Mu Chen looked around, taking in his surroundings. He was standing in a beautiful garden, filled with towering trees and vibrant flowers.
And then, he saw them - the people of this realm. They were all immortal, just like him. They lived in a world without death, where life was eternal and unending.
Little Mu Chen's eyes widened in wonder as he watched the immortals of this realm. They were so carefree, so joyful. They lived life to the fullest, without fear of death or loss.
As he watched, a figure approached him. It was a woman, tall and stately, with long, flowing hair and piercing green eyes.
"Welcome, Little Mu Chen," she said, her voice like music. "I am the Queen of this realm. We have been expecting you."
Little Mu Chen's eyes widened in surprise. "Expecting me?" he repeated.
The Queen nodded. "Yes. We have been watching you, Little Mu Chen. We know of your immortality, and we have been waiting for you to join us."
Little Mu Chen's mind reeled as he tried to process the Queen's words. He had so many questions, but before he could ask any of them, the Queen spoke again.
"Come," she said. "Let me show you the wonders of our realm."
And with that, the Queen took Little Mu Chen on a journey through the immortal realm, showing him wonders and marvels beyond his wildest dreams.
As they traveled, Little Mu Chen learned more about the immortal realm and its people. He learned about their history, their culture, and their way of life.
And he began to realize that his immortality was not a curse, but a gift. It was a chance to live forever, to experience all the wonders of the universe.
But as the days passed, Little Mu Chen began to feel a pang of homesickness. He missed his friends and family, and he longed to return to his own world.
The Queen, sensing his thoughts, turned to him with a sympathetic smile.
"Do not worry, Little Mu Chen," she said. "You will return to your own world soon enough. But for now, let us enjoy the wonders of this realm together."
And with that, Little Mu Chen continued his journey through the immortal realm, learning and growing with each passing day.
But little did he know, his journey was far from over. There were still many challenges ahead, many trials and tribulations that he would have to face.
And as he walked through the immortal realm, Little Mu Chen steeled himself for what was to come. He knew that he would have to be strong, brave, and determined if he was to overcome the challenges that lay ahead.
But he was ready. He was Little Mu Chen, the immortal warrior, and he was ready for whatever the universe had in store for him.
"The Path to Return"
Little Mu Chen had spent many years in the immortal realm, training and honing his skills. He had reached the level of a Golden Immortal, a being of immense power and wisdom.
As he stood on the mountain peak, looking out over the breathtaking landscape, Little Mu Chen felt a sense of nostalgia wash over him. He had grown to love this realm, and the people who lived here.
But he knew that he couldn't stay forever. He had a duty to fulfill, a world to protect. The darkness that threatened his world was still out there, waiting to strike.
Little Mu Chen turned to the Queen, who stood beside him. "I must return to my world," he said, his voice firm.
The Queen nodded, her eyes understanding. "I knew this day would come," she said. "But to return to your world, you must first travel 3000 meters around the Abyss of Eternal Suffering, the Swamp of Despair, and the Mountains of Madness."
Little Mu Chen's eyes widened in alarm. He had heard of these places, and he knew that they were not to be trifled with.
"But why must I travel this path?" he asked, his voice hesitant.
The Queen's expression was solemn. "Because, Little Mu Chen, this path will test your courage, your wits, and your strength. If you can overcome the challenges that lie ahead, then you will be worthy of returning to your world."
Little Mu Chen took a deep breath, steeling himself for the journey ahead. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he was determined to succeed.
"I will do it," he said, his voice firm.
The Queen nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "I knew you would," she said. "And when you have completed the journey, go to the Temple of the Golden Phoenix. There, you will find the key to the Portal of Return, which will take you back to your world."
Little Mu Chen nodded, his mind racing with the challenges ahead. He knew that he had a long and difficult journey ahead of him, but he was ready.
With a final farewell to the Queen and the immortal realm, Little Mu Chen set off on his journey. He traveled through the Abyss of Eternal Suffering, where the very air seemed to writhe and twist with agony. He navigated the treacherous paths of the Swamp of Despair, where the ground seemed to suck the life out of his feet. And he climbed the towering peaks of the Mountains of Madness, where the winds howled with a fury that seemed to drive men mad.
But Little Mu Chen persevered, using all his skills and cunning to overcome the challenges that lay ahead. And finally, after many long and difficult days, he arrived at the Temple of the Golden Phoenix.
The temple was a magnificent structure, its walls shining with a golden light that seemed to radiate an otherworldly energy. Little Mu Chen approached the temple, his heart pounding with excitement.
He pushed open the doors, and stepped inside. The interior of the temple was just as magnificent as the exterior, with intricate carvings and glittering jewels that seemed to dance in the light.
At the far end of the temple, Little Mu Chen saw a pedestal, upon which rested a small, golden key. The key seemed to glow with an inner light, and Little Mu Chen knew that this was the key to the Portal of Return.
He reached out, and took the key. As he did, the temple began to shake, and the air was filled with a loud, rumbling sound.
Little Mu Chen knew that he had to get out of the temple, fast. He turned, and ran, the key clutched in his hand. He emerged from the temple, just as it collapsed behind him, sending up a cloud of dust and debris.
Little Mu Chen stood there, panting, the key still clutched in his hand. He knew that he had one final step to take, to return to his world.
He looked around, and saw a shimmering portal in the distance. The Portal of Return.
With a sense of excitement and trepidation, Little Mu Chen approached the portal. He inserted the key, and the portal began to glow.
Little Mu Chen took a deep breath, and stepped through the portal. As he did, he felt a strange sensation, as if he was being pulled apart and put back together again.
And then, he opened his eyes, to find himself back in his own world.
