VISIT TO THE HOSPITAL

Cherry's POV

I woke up to the warmth of Liam's arms wrapped around me. I snuggled deeper into his chest, feeling safe and loved.

"Good morning," Liam whispered, his breath tickling my ear.

"Good morning," I replied, smiling.

Liam gently stroked my hair, and I felt a sense of calm wash over me.

"Today's the day we visit David," Liam said, his voice filled with concern.

I nodded, feeling a surge of emotions. I had been worried about my brother's health, and I was grateful to have Liam by my side.

We got out of bed and began getting ready for the day. Liam helped me pick out an outfit, and we had a quiet breakfast together.

As we finished up, Liam took my hand in his. "We'll face whatever comes next together," he said, looking into my eyes.

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude and love. "I know we will," I said.

Together, we headed out the door, ready to visit David and see how he was doing.

As we arrived at the hospital, I could feel my nerves starting to get the better of me. Liam must have sensed my anxiety, because he gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.

"We'll get through this together," he whispered, as we stepped into the elevator.

When we arrived at David's room, I took a deep breath and pushed open the door. David was sitting up in bed, looking a bit more alert than he had the last time I saw him.

"Hey, sis!" he said, with a weak smile.

I rushed over to his bedside, tears of relief streaming down my face. "David, I'm so glad to see you!" I exclaimed, hugging him gently.

Liam stood back, watching us with a warm smile. "Hey, David," he said, when I finally released my brother from our hug. "How are you feeling today?"

David shrugged, looking a bit frustrated. "I'm getting there," he said. "But I'm still pretty weak."

I nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "We'll get you through this, David," I said. "I promise."

Liam put a hand on my shoulder, his touch warm and comforting. "We'll all get through this together," he said.

As we spent the morning with David, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Liam's presence in my life. He was my rock, my partner, and my best friend. And I knew that together, we could face anything

.As we continued to visit with David, I could see the fatigue starting to set in. Liam noticed it too, and he suggested that we take a break and grab some lunch.

David nodded in agreement, and we said our goodbyes for the time being. As we walked out of the hospital room, Liam turned to me and asked, "How are you holding up?"

I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I'm okay, I think," I said. "It's just hard to see David like this."

Liam nodded understandingly and put his arm around me. "I know," he said. "But he's going to get through this, and we'll be right there with him."

We walked to the hospital cafeteria and grabbed some lunch. As we ate, Liam told me about his day, about the things he had been working on and the people he had met. It was nice to take my mind off of David's illness, if only for a little while.

After lunch, we headed back to David's room. He was sleeping, so we sat down in the chairs beside his bed and waited for him to wake up.

As we sat there, Liam took my hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze. I looked over at him and smiled, feeling grateful for his presence in my life.

"Thanks for being here with me," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Liam smiled back at me and leaned over to kiss my forehead. "I'll always be here for you," he said. "No matter what."

Finally David woke up we went home very late that day after tucking David in to rest
