GOING DOWN

Anthony's smile returned, but it was clear that he was starting to feel uneasy. He glanced around the pool area, where his henchmen were stationed, trying to intimidate Angela and her family.

"Bring it on, Angela," Anthony sneered, trying to sound confident. "I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. You're no match for me and my men."

Angela smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "We'll see about that," Angela said, her eyes locked on Anthony. "You see, Anthony, I've been preparing for this moment for a long time. And I have a few surprises in store for you."

Without warning, Angela's phone beeped, and she answered it, listening for a moment before hanging up. "It seems that the police have arrived, Anthony," Angela said, her eyes glinting with triumph. "And they have a few questions for you."

Anthony's face went white as he realized that he was surrounded. He looked around frantically, trying to find an escape route, but it was too late. The police had already arrived, and they were closing in on him.

"You're finished, Anthony," Angela said, her voice dripping with satisfaction. "You're going down for your crimes, and you'll never hurt anyone again."

Anthony's eyes widened in panic as the police surrounded him, their guns drawn. He raised his hands in surrender, but his eyes never left Angela's face.

"You'll never win," Anthony spat, his voice venomous. "I have connections, Angela. I'll always come out on top."

Angela smiled, a cold, hard smile. "We'll see about that," Angela said, her eyes glinting with triumph. "You see, Anthony, I've been playing a long game. And I've been gathering evidence against you for months."

The police officers moved forward, handcuffing Anthony and reading him his rights. As they led him away, Anthony's eyes never left Angela's face, his expression twisted with hatred and anger.

"You haven't seen the last of me," Anthony snarled, as the police dragged him away.

Angela watched him go, a sense of satisfaction and relief washing over her. It was finally over. Anthony was going to pay for his crimes, and her family was safe.

But as she turned to her children, she saw the fear and uncertainty in their eyes. And she knew that the road to recovery would be long and difficult.

"It's okay, kids," Angela said, pulling them into a tight hug. "It's over now. We're safe, and we're going to move on from this. Together."

As Angela hugged her children, she could feel the tension and fear slowly draining out of their bodies. They had been through so much, and it was going to take time for them to heal and feel safe again.

But for now, they were together, and they were safe. And that was all that mattered.

As they stood there, holding each other tightly, the police officers finished processing the scene and came over to them.

"Ma'am, we're going to need to take statements from you and your children," one of the officers said gently. "But don't worry, we'll do it in a way that's comfortable and safe for everyone."

Angela nodded, still holding her children tightly. "Okay," she said. "We're ready."

The officers nodded and began to lead them away from the pool area, towards a safe and quiet place where they could give their statements.

As they walked, Cherry looked up at her mother with tears in her eyes. "Mom, I'm so sorry," Cherry said, her voice shaking. "I'm so sorry that I ever dated Mike and brought him into our lives."

Angela stopped and pulled Cherry into a tight hug. "It's not your fault, sweetie," Angela said. "You didn't know what Mike was capable of. And we're safe now. That's all that matters."

Cherry nodded, still sniffling, and Angela held her tightly, trying to absorb some of her daughter's pain and fear.

Liam let out a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He had been on edge for so long, worried about the safety of his wife and child. But now, with Anthony finally caught and behind bars, he could finally relax.

He looked over at Cherry, who was still shaken but safe, and felt a surge of love and gratitude towards her. He was so proud of her for being strong and brave throughout this ordeal.

And then he looked at Angela, who had been a rock for all of them throughout this difficult time. He felt a deep sense of respect and admiration for her, for her strength and determination.

Liam's eyes misted up as he thought about how close they had all come to losing each other. But they had made it through, and they were safe now.

He took a deep breath, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. It was finally over. They could finally start to heal and move on.
