As he lay there, lost in thought, the door to his room creaked open, and a figure entered. Eclipse's head whipped towards the direction of the sound, his eyes narrowing as he took in the sight of the person who had just entered.
A young woman in her late twenties, with long wavy brown hair, wearing an easy going smile as she walked up to him after shutting the door behind her with a bang, Eclipse almost jumped if it wasn't for the department of his legs from this physical world he would have been high in the sky right now.
Thinking about his legs his already bad mood worsen.
"Hey there how are you doing." He raised his head only to see that she was standing by his side twinkling with the machinary.
" Am fine". His voice hesitant as he wondered 'is she okay mentally, although from the looks of it she is a doctor, but I heard few people who survived the trials become crooked in their brain'.
"That's good, considering the way you were brought in, you know half dead."
"Someone brought me here, that means that I was saved".
"You would have been dead if someone didn't bring you here, and yes it means you were saved." Hearing her hesitant voice Eclipse saw the look on her face which said, "Are you dumb".
But then in the next second her expression changed to someone who has realized something and then to pity. Eclipse could guess the words on her mind,
"Did he hit his head, he can't probably be this stupid ".
"He was lucky I came in time, or he would have been with his maker by now". The voice was unlike Eclipse's or Dr. Patel, it was sharp and muscular.
Turning his head he saw a man leaning on the pristine white wall, he was wearing a black tuxedo wearing a plain white in the inner part of the tuxedo, short black hair, with a clean shaved face and bored dark eyes Staring lazily back at them. Patel froze but Eclipse was too distracted to noticed.
'judging from his words he was the one who saved me' Eclipse thought as he looked at the man who now ignored him and focused on the doctor.
"Come here". His said, and without lingering Patel walked briskly towards the man
'do they know each other'. Eclipse was confused.
The man grabbed the woman by the waist and switched with her, Patel was now the one with her back to the wall. Eclipse couldn't properly see what happened, all he saw was the man hands on the doctor's waist and the next moment her was staring at the back of the man. A thought echoing through his mind 'so fast'.
"Can't you see his awake, let me go this instant".
'yep they definitely know each other, her boyfriend or so'.
"So that why you shut the door".
'hmmm it seems they wanted to do something while I was still unconscious, so she shut the door after noticing I was conscious'.
"We had a deal, if was conscious we will meet some place else".
"But we're are so busy, I doubt I would be able to see you again till next month. And besides what was they stunt you pulled". His face contracting in slight anger.
"What stun—
"Don't act as if you don't know what am talking about, you trying to heal him with that cursed power of yours".
"He was going to die, have some heart".
Looking at her increasing angry face he pulled her into a huge and began to coax her.
"Am not saying you shouldn't help him, but be mindful of yourself as well, you wouldn't want Aria to be sad, would you".
He could feel as she shock her head and proceeded to hug him tighter before letting out a whimper.
"I miss you".
He didn't respond but hugged her tightly as his hand began to become naughty, but was soon interrupted by a Shout of surprise.
Turning in annoyance to see the red haired boy on his feet looking at it in surprise, jumping and walking around on his legs as if he was a cripple all his life, he rolled his eyes at the over dramatic scene.
With a growl he let out a threat. "Settle down or you won't only be losing a leg".
But Eclipse paid home no heed amazed at the feelings in his legs, for a moment he truly thought he was going to forever be a cripple.
Coming out of his excitement he asked in a bewildered voice. "How ?".
"It's all thanks to my wife". The man had a look of pure pride it was almost as if he was the one who healed him and not the blushing lady behind him.
"Isn't she the best". He said again his eyes were practically shining in an intense white light.
"Yes she is definitely the best, the best in the entire world, to the past, the future, and the present, no one is like her". He was so excited that he started spurting out nonsense.
The man eyes widened as he took in the words of the boy. Could he be anymore shameless.
Dr. Patel let out a quiet cough and then spoke in a somber voice.
"It's nice that you are awake but we got important things to attend to, like you meeting the rest of your family".
He wanted to retort saying they were not his family but considering what they had been through he simply nodded and gestured for them to lead the way.
As they walked, the hospital's sterile atmosphere enveloped them, the sound of beeping machines and muted conversations filling the air. The corridors were lined with hospital rooms, each one a temporary home for patients like Eclipse, struggling to recover from their injuries.
As they turned a corner, the hospital's emergency department came into view. The room was a flurry of activity, with nurses and doctors rushing to attend to the needs of their patients. The air was thick with the smell of disinfectant and the sound of sirens echoed through the corridors.
Dr. Patel led the way, her eyes fixed on the exit. She pushed through the doors, and the bright sunlight of the outside world spilled in, illuminating the hospital's sterile corridors.
As they arrived at the parking lot, Eclipse's eyes widened in awe at the sheer number of cars, ambulances, and people milling about. The sound of sirens and chatter filled the air, and the smell of fuel and exhaust hung heavy over the scene. He hurried behind the duo, husband and wife, afraid of losing them in the unfamiliar place.
As they made their way through the crowd, Eclipse's eyes landed on a group of individuals wearing dark jackets and pants with boots, adorned with varying numbers of stars on their jacket shoulders. He recognized them as militia personnel, their uniforms and demeanor exuding an air of authority and discipline.
The duo of husband and wife led him to the edge of the parking lot, where a large, armored bus waited. Eclipse's eyes widened in amazement as he took in the sight of the vehicle. He had never seen anything like it before. The bus was massive, with reinforced steel plating and tinted windows. A logo emblazoned on the side read "Militia Transport."
As they approached the bus, a voice filled with hate and anger cut through the air. "You jinx, you bastard, why are you still alive?". Turning Eclipse saw a hate ridden boy staring at him, not only him but all the last survivors of his shelter, sadly non of the non-members of clan Dawn made it back alive, and all the members of the clan had a grudge against him one way or the other. Neither by the propaganda of the clan elders or from their parents, all of them hated him. A cold hand gripping his shirt shock him from his thought.
He looked up towards the face of the boy, mind you not because he is short or something, but because he is a Short statue person in nature, yes that's definitely it, and besides, the boy who he recognized as Kyle was just a few head taller than him.
"I asked you a question why are you still alive, when she's dead".
'what's this bastard saying' Eclipse thought in confusion. But before he could voice out his confusion, his question was answered.
"Raphael is dead, because of you".
'wait Raphael is dead'.
