The Forgotten Legacy of Luden (Intro)

Within a long span of time " The true nature for man," observed history, "was something that had grown beyond what the poet could relate to Luden." Not born from the earth nor shaped by human hands, Luden hailed from a universe greater still than those above. There, gods came together, and their voices echoed across the expanse of time and space.

Luden, having wisdom beyond the understanding of man, revealed the world to those ancestors of the present-day people who now walk on it for, otherwise, they would have remained blind ignorant to the world beyond them. No, Luden was not a ruler who relied on armies or conquest; he was a one-man army, a force so great that entire nations trembled at his name.

From 150 BCE to 300 BCE, there were llos, Luden rules not with military might, but out of sheer force of his will. His actions spoke louder than at any army's behest could. With one word, he could end a conflict; with one gaze, he could bend the very fabric of nature to his will. It wasn't for want of fighting him that sent people flying from afar to him-they flew to learn, to know, to comprehend the truths that only Luden held within.

Would-be rebels against him went quiet eternally. Most people saw how Luden's achievements defined such a god as making Arbor Divus -the belief where gods lived among the trees. By all rights, he linked people to the divine with style never before witnessed. The trees themselves became sacred living temples where the gods spoke, their whispers carried through the wind. The people learned to listen-to hear the lessons of the gods in every rustling leaf and in the quiet of the forest. The land became fruitful not through riches or conquest but through the intimate bond between mankind and the divine.

There was no army in Luden's reign, and his reign was one without equal. He crafted a world where knowing made the greatest magic and where wisdom was more valued than gold. Lands and armies did not need to fall into his hands. His weapon was his mind, and it was more formidable than any sword or shield. Under him, cities were built as centers of learning, and monuments rose like the temples to the mysteries of the universe into mere words without number. For him, scholars and visionaries thronged, eager to take the lessons he imparted. But despite that peace he had carved, such could not silence the tale of Luden for the world. The terror he invoked in the hearts of his enemies would not fully wash until none would learn of the true extent of his might. It was said that Luden could control the elements themselves-that with a thought, he could summon storms or calm the seas. It was said that his tomb, that lost resting-place of the man who revealed the world to his people, was buried and lost to time, as though it had been against the very earth that sought to protect the secret of his existence.

But even so, the world did not fear his person anymore; his legacy remained. The echoes of his teachings remained alive in the whispers of the Arbor Divus, the sacred trees that still stood as guardians of his wisdom. The world had changed, but Luden's name-his legend-followed it. Sometimes in the stillness of the forest, under the canopy of ancient trees, the people would feel his presence watching the world he once unlocked with unmatched wisdom again.
