Baby raptor

Joji kept hitting the raptor, urging it to run faster and faster as the fiery aftermath of the lava bomb, a cloud of fire, dust, and smoke was chasing them down.

Joni turned and saw that it was at their heel. He slapped the raptor on the side, and it growled and picked up the pace, but even joji could tell that wasn't enough.

He looked straight ahead and saw that the road was coming. How didn't I notice that, he said, panicking. The raptor turned back and spied the disaster coming for them. He turned and looked at the end of the road and it seemed to weigh its options.

We won't make it if we go sideways, this is so annoying.

As they got closer, Joji realized they were tuning towards a woodside slope; yes, Joji screamed, he could feel the heat in his back, but the joy in his heart was much more intense.

The raptor jumped, and in mid-air, the smoke and dust of the larva bomb fire surrounded them both, and for a brief moment, they were engulfed in darkness.

The raptor landed on the slope and the downward pull of gravity accelerated its speed. In a matter of seconds, the smoke and dust were behind them again, Joji hanging on tightly. He could feel the vines were at their limit but he held on tightly as they quickly approached the end of the slope.

At the end, if the slope was a river running through it at the other side of thieves was the flat lands. We're gonna make it, Joji screamed, pulling back the vine and causing the raptor to growl.

It sounded like a thunderstorm behind them as the aftermath raged on. The raptor hits a rock and trips. Damn it, Joji thought. It's my bad luck again. The raptor crashed on its head, and they began to roll downhill.

They tumbled, rolling down hills like a pair of wheels. Joji hit a couple of rocks, and there were times when the raptor took the blow instead of him.

By the time they crashed into the river, the raptor was dead; Joji turned back and saw the fires approaching; he quickly swam down, down into the depths of the river.

He could see the glimmer of fire on the river, rocks from the aftermath fell all around him into the depths of the river.

Joji was running out of breath, he could no longer stay there, shouldn't i have a bigger lung in this game, how can i still hold my breath for the same amount of time as i did in the real world.

Left with no choice, he quickly swam back to the top. He came out of the waters to find himself surrounded by fire. There was no way through; he'd have to swim underneath them, and he did; the water felt warm on his back , and he came back out. Again, this time, he was on the bank of the flatlands.

Joji managed to make it on land, but he was too exhausted; swimming against the current of the river wasn't good for him.

The grounds were scorched. The effect of the lava bomb has made the whole place a field of smoke. Joji couldn't rest, the smoke would kill me, he thought.

He covered his nose and crawled out of the mud and onto his feet. When he had his balance, he was still short of breath; he saw the vast flat land and felt the hit earth under his feet.

He took out running, out of the smoke and into some fresh air. The ground began to rumble, the volcano was drawing everybody's attention again.

"Not again!"Joji screamed. He made it out of the smoke cloud and began to cough. He stopped to catch his breath while the wind blew the smoke away from his direction.

He felt a ringing in his head, "what's this now?" Joji said as a timer popped up on his pov.

"End of the section in thirty minutes, find the nearest checkpoint; you've gotta be kidding?"

Joji quickly began running, "Where the hell is the nearest!" a map popped up on his pov, by the bottom corner. "Woah?" it had a series of blue dots around it. "It's a map?" Joji saw a red dot and realized this must be him.

He could see the nearest checkpoint from him, and he adjusted his direction to suit it, but these were the flatlands, they were very few shades to disguise him and hide him from the monsters.

Joni gasped as he looked into the vastness, and scattered around it were different monsters and prehistoric beasts amid them were running rivers and scattered patches of trees on a green field. "This is not going to be easy"

First, Joji hid behind and under a giant herbivorous dinosaur. They kept him safe away from predators, but they were too slow, and his time was running out.

He ran out of their shadow and climbed atop a tree. From what the map showed him, he knew the checkpoint should be visible from there and he saw a shining blue light.

Joji heard what sounded like twigs breaking, he turned and saw a giant red therapod a few feet from him. He gripped the tree tightly. The theropod's attention wasn't on him, and he soon realized this; he just had to be quiet and wait for it to go away, but for how long?

The theropod immediately burst into a run chasing after smaller dinosaurs. Joni calmly came down and took off running towards the checkpoint

Joji ran with all his might as the time ran down. Soon, he had only ten minutes left, but that didn't bother him as he had gotten so close, then he ran through some bushes, using them as cover to mask his presence.

He felt something prick him more and more; he screamed and jumped off the bushy to the notice of a few herbivores around the area. He looked down at his legs, and biting into him were tiny raptor babies.

Stupid rodent, he barked as he picked up a rock to smash them, but before he could, a swarm of baby raptors came rushing at him, biting anything part of him they got close to.

Joji started smashing one after the other. He smashed their skulls to mush, but they were just too much; they came at him from every angle, and the pain was just too distracting. Joji smashes one after the other and the raptor bites his flesh.

Six minutes remained, and what seemed like an endless wave of baby raptors. "Damn it, only six minutes" Joni got on his feet, not minding the raptors still clinging to his body; he ran towards the checkpoint.

Joji pulled the raptor off his skin and ran, taking off his flesh alongside them. It had become too painful for him, but he kept running. The raptor that was not clinging to him chased after him like he was a running plate of meat.

Three minutes left, and Joji was closer now; he could see the checkpoint. It was blue like showing over what looked like the stomp of a giant white tree.

How did they cut that thing down? Joji thought to himself, then he realized. It's a game, they coded it. Ouch! I hate babies. He pulled off another raptor, taking his skin with it, but this one quickly bit into his hand, and Joji, out of anger, punched it, crushing its skull and it's full of like a swatted mosquito.

The checkpoint point was nestled within a mass of trees. Joji felt joy as he approached in time, with one minute thirty seconds still on the clock, then out of the wood pooped a red theropod; it roared at him; Joji gasped and stopped. Why this? Why now? He thought.

All the babies unglued themselves from Joji and took out running. Cowards Joji thought. What should I do? How do I fight this thing? The monster's glare was frightening; its small eyes pierced through Joji; he felt like he was going to die for sure.

I'm so close; I can beat this game; I feel it. The theropod snapped his jaws and it sounded like a guillotine had been dropped on his head, joji gulped, he brought out his spear and the beast charged at him.

Joji stilled his shaking hands and waved the spear at it, it jumped back and joni continued waving the spare hoping to scare it off, he could see the time running to, fifty second left.

"Come on, get going," Joji screamed. He thrusted the spare at it and jumped back again, joji felt like he was being studied.

Thirty seconds left, joji couldn't take it anymore, he thrust the spear in and when it jumped back he jumped forward, thrusting the spear in even further. That's it, I got him. The theropod drops his head, backed into a corner, it tries to defend itself risking injury to get its prey, the emerald spear hits its skull and shatters.

Joji's eyes widened as he watched it fall to pieces, the theropod quickly charged at him and in a flash Joji could see the blur of its jaws darting at him.
