The Church of Luminalis

Liam sat in the plush, velvet-lined carriage, the gentle rolling of the wheels sending him into a strange sort of trance. The carriage's wooden frame creaked as it travelled down the cobblestone path, drawn by two powerful horses. The air outside was cold and refreshing, with the aroma of flowers and fresh earth coming in through the open windows. Selene and Lysandra sat on either side of him, both calm for the time being, while the carriage moved through Eryndor's bustling streets.

As they passed through the castle gates, the sights of the kingdom opened in front of him. The city had a mix of old-world splendour and bustling vitality. Tall, white marble buildings with golden rooftops rose far above the streets, their walls covered with beautiful artwork and flags that float in the breeze.

Shops flanked the road, each with a colourful canopy and placards advertising their wares—everything from exotic spices to magnificent silks, and even strange items that Liam had never seen before. The streets were crowded, with people walking in all directions, chatting, and going about their everyday lives.

The carriage rolled over the cobblestone streets, passing through a lively market square packed with sellers yelling their wares and the aroma of fresh bread and cooked meats wafting through the air. Children ran in clusters, playing tag and laughing as they dashed between the adult's legs. Street entertainers juggled flaming torches while others played instruments, adding to the festive atmosphere. The sun above gave a golden glow over the surroundings, making it appear warm and pleasant.

As they passed, Liam noticed that the people on the streets seemed to recognize him.

Murmurs began to ripple through the crowds as they turned to look at the carriage. People pointed and whispered, and soon a chant began to build:

"The Hero! The Hero has come!" Women in the crowds cheered, their eyes filled with awe and excitement. Some even ran to the side of the carriage, reaching out as if to touch the vehicle or get a glimpse of Liam. The cheers grew louder, and Liam's face burned with embarrassment.

"Uh, is this normal?" he asked, his voice barely audible over the clamor.

Lysandra, sitting across from him, smiled softly, her icy blue eyes glinting. "You are the Hero, Liam," she said simply, her tone warm yet serious. "It is not every day that someone is chosen from another world to come to our aid."

Selene, who had been quiet until now, turned her head toward him. "It is a great honor, you see," she added, her voice low and smooth. "The Church of Luminalis has been waiting for someone like you for a long time. And now, you are here."

Liam's gaze kept flicking back to Selene's ample chest, like an addict drawn to his fix. Her full, round breasts were practically spilling out of her dress, dancing to the rhythm of the carriage's bumps and swaying hypnotically with every subtle motion of her body. He could feel his heart hammering faster, his breath quickening, as his body reacted to the sight of her glorious bosom in ways he knew he shouldn't.

Every bounce, every jiggle, sent a wave of heat coursing through him, heightening his senses and his arousal.

In that moment, he was a gooner, completely enthralled by the soft, supple flesh that taunted him with each breath.

He cleared his throat, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. "S-So, uh, what exactly is the Church of Luminalis?" he asked, trying to divert his thoughts from the situation… and his very real problem.

Selene didn't seem to notice the tension in the air as she responded with a calm smile. "The Church of Luminalis is a religion devoted to the worship of the Hero. It is a place where strength, courage, and unity are celebrated, and it is a sanctuary for those chosen to protect the kingdom."

Liam's gaze flickered between Selene's ample chest, Lysandra's equally curvaceous figure, and out the window, his eyes darting about in a desperate attempt to find some kind of distraction from the pulsing rhythm of their bouncing bosoms.

Each bounce felt like a gooner's trap, drawing his attention like a moth to a flame. His body was relentless, firing off signals of arousal that he could barely contain. He tried to focus on anything else, but it was like his mind was stuck on a loop, fixated on their bouncing curves and refusing to budge.

"Is there, uh… any way to turn this off?" he muttered under his breath, wishing the world would just swallow him whole.

As they neared the edge of the city, the atmosphere became quieter, more peaceful, almost sacred.

Finally, the carriage came to a stop in front of a massive cathedral-like structure, its towering spires reaching for the sky. The building was adorned with shimmering gold and silver, and its windows gleamed with a soft, ethereal light. It looked more like a temple than a simple church, and as Liam stared up at it, he felt a strange sense of awe. This was no ordinary place—it was a sacred sanctuary, a place of power.

Selene and Lysandra stepped out of the carriage first, and then Liam followed, his legs feeling oddly stiff as he took in the sight before him.

"Welcome to the Church of Luminalis," Selene said, her voice filled with quiet pride. "This is where we, the followers, worship the Hero—the one who is destined to save us. But there is more to it than just hero worship. The church is a place where we honor strength, courage, and unity."

Liam nodded absently, still trying to collect himself as they walked toward the cathedral's entrance. But as they entered, his mind couldn't help but wander back to the previous moment, to the fact that his body still hadn't quite calmed down, despite the grandiosity of the building and the sheer pressure of the situation.

The inside of the cathedral was just as breathtaking as the outside. Marble floors gleamed, and the tall, ornate pillars seemed to stretch endlessly upwards. The air was cool and smelled faintly of incense, and the soft glow of candles added an air of mysticism to the place.

Liam followed Selene and Lysandra through the grand cathedral, his mind still fixated on his earlier predicament. The atmosphere inside was awe-inspiring, but he could only think about the discomforting signals his body was sending him.

As they reached a set of ornate doors, Selene turned to face him with a warm smile. "Liam, please rest for a while. Tomorrow, we will show you around the Church of Luminalis, and you will begin your journey as the Hero."

Liam nodded, relieved at the chance to gather his thoughts in privacy.

Liam's mind was racing as he laid on the bed, staring up at the intricately carved wooden ceiling. He couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had been gnawing at him since the carriage ride.

Liam's gaze shifted idly around the room when, without warning, the familiar ethereal screen appeared before him, glowing softly.

"Time remaining until first task: 15:00:00"

The countdown was ticking away the seconds in that cold, unyielding way. Liam froze, the weight of the situation crashing down on him. He had almost forgotten about this.
