What's with this father of mine and his staring? The asshole probably remained still and looked at me with a serious expression for about five minutes.
"Return to your seat," Hou Rong said.
I should've done as he asked. But, all this attention is increasing my anxiety. It's my first stand-up all over again. The feeling of my chest tightening, the stares of everyone becoming more unbearable, and all that I ate in the entire week wanting to go out from the same hole they went inside of.
"I would like to be excused, father," I replied.
The grand boomer stood up, "This is new, the arrogant brat asking to excuse himself instead of storming off! What? You don't think it's helpful to you to see how the other disciples would perform the Five Petal Sword?!" He exclaimed.
While the grand boomer barked, everyone remained quiet. The patriarch needed to tell him to stop speaking once again so he could say something.
"Why?" the patriarch asked.
From this time moving forward, I should answer as if I am a true martial artist.
"Although I have improved my skills in using the Five Petal Sword technique, my cultivation is far lacking compared to the other disciples. I want to start masturba– meditating so I can catch up to them."
Again, the grand boomer spoke, "Do you think your reason for wanting to leave early is a good one? All the other disciples want to cultivate as well, yet they remain here to learn!"
Someone needs to permanently cover this boomer's mouth. And what did he mean early? It's the middle of the night!
"You may leave." Hou Rong said. Boomer elder Huang tried to contest his decision but immediately closed his noisy mouth when the patriarch asked him to let it be.
As I hurriedly walked towards the exit, my father spoke, "Wait," he said.
'What the fuck is it now?' I thought.
The patriarch asked something from elder Yan. He was the guy who was on my side earlier. Elder Yan called for someone and asked him to bring something. After minutes of waiting, the guy returned with a small wooden box in his hand. He gave it to the elder, and the elder handed it to my father.
"Take this." Hou Rong said as he threw the small wooden box at me. I opened it and saw a pink pill comfortably resting inside.
All the other disciples at the sides looked at the pill like it was the "One Ring", and turned their eyes at me with envious glares.
"System. What is this pill," I thought.
The stupid-ass, useless piece of shit, motherfuckening system responded with a "You tell me."
"Are you certain about this patriarch? Many senior disciples haven't gotten their chance to get a Blossoming pill," the grand boomer said.
For the first time, I am thankful for this loudmouth. He unknowingly answered the question I asked the stupid system. But, I guess if I was the real Bruce I would've also known what the pill was.
"Any disciple with such a level of mastery of the Five Petal Sword technique deserves the Blossoming pill."
No one could refute Hou Rong's words. Fires within some of the other disciples were also lit. From the looks of it, some of them would practice the Five Petal Sword without any sleep to get a Blossoming pill for themselves.
Meanwhile, Hou Wen was glaring at me like I was his greatest enemy. I just glanced at him and looked away even though I wanted to taunt the stupid asshole.
"Go to Elder Yan before taking the Blossoming pill. He will help you meditate," the patriarch said to me.
What's this? Don't tell me this dear father of mine is a 'tsundere'. Are we in that kind of trope where he loved my mother far more than his other wives?
Once again, I clasped my fist, bowed, and said, "Thank you, Father," before leaving, almost running out of the place. I don't want to hear someone telling me to wait again. But I suddenly stopped when a window appeared out of nowhere. Written on it was a notice, telling me that there were changes in my 'Plot Armor' bar. It was now at forty-five percent.
"What?" Said my father. To which I replied that it was nothing and went out much faster.
I took a deep sigh of relief once I was outside. Looking at the deserted sect, the place wasn't half bad. The plum blossoms almost glimmering under the moonlit sky gave my eyes the same feeling my junior would've felt if I had seen a beautiful and sexy woman instead.
Although I might've circled the vicinity a couple of times, in the end, I managed to locate my place. Mei was waiting for me. She was sitting, leaning his back and head on the wall while her arms were resting on her knees. It's been hours since I left. To fall asleep outside in the cold, was she waiting for me ever since?
I know it wasn't really me she was waiting for, it's the real Bruce of this world. Nonetheless, why does it feel so warm looking at her beautiful spotless face that has turned a bit pale from the cold? This feeling is new. I was never the emotional kind of person. And I never thought that realizing there was someone eagerly waiting for my return would make my eyes water.
I couldn't even remember the last time tears formed around my eyes. For all I know, the last time I cried was when I was a baby. Bob's death did make me sad, but the way he exited was so funny I laugh instead of cry when I remember him.
This kind of feeling… I don't hate it. I blinked a couple of times, wiped the tears that formed in my eyes and had a genuine smile on my face.
"Mei," I called with a soft voice.
She was still fast asleep. I leaned forward and poked her in the cheek, "Mei," I called again.
Mei turned her head slowly. Her eyes were heavy as she kept on blinking. She was so cute. When she realized it was me, Mei quickly launched herself to hug me. She must've been worried.
Again, it was the same warm sensation even though we were outside in the cold of the night. Normally my schlong would've already been rock solid. But, it wasn't this time.
She apologized for hugging me all of a sudden, but I told her I didn't mind and even jokingly said that I liked it.
"Are you okay, young master?" Mei asked while she looked at my face and body to check for any injury or a sign of it.
With a chuckle, "Why wouldn't I be?" I asked.
"The last, last time you went to a meeting, you punched a wall on your way back and broke your fingers. The last time, you fought with another disciple and returned all bruised up."
Scratching the back of my head, "I did all that?" I replied.
Mei pouted as she nodded in response.
"Don't worry everything went great this time," I paused and took out the wooden box I received and showed Mei what was inside, "Look at this, they even gave me a Blossoming pill."
The shift in Mei's innocent cute face was instantaneous. It turned to one filled with great horror. She immediately closed the box, I couldn't even see her hands do it.
"Y–young master… Did you steal it? We should hide it quickly before anyone sees you."
"What? So, you have that little faith in me?"
Mei was speechless. She was opening her mouth, trying to say something but couldn't figure out what.
"I – I always believe in you, young master. But… but," Mei said.
I smiled at her and told her that I was just joking.
"I didn't steal it. Father gave it to me after I showed them the Five Petal Sword technique."
"Really?"
I acted surprised and said, "You still don't believe me?"
Mei waved both of her hands, "No, no, young master. I do."
"Okay then, forget about all of that and let's eat."
Mei stared at me, "You haven't had dinner yet, young master?"
"Have you?"
Even the way she shook her head to answer was cute as hell. If this is how the Gods wanted to repay me for my previous life of misery, then, I guess I could forgive them.
Seated at the dining table, Mei served me a bowl of porridge with strips of chicken in it. She then stood beside the table with a huge smile on her face.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
She became worried, "Do you not like it, young master? I can get you something else," she replied.
"No," I pointed at the empty seat next to mine, "Come sit here."
"I can't."
"Why not?"
"I'm your servant. I will eat after you, young master."
I stood up, grabbed Mei's hand, and gently pulled her to the seat, "Then, it's a command."
Mei was confused, which was cute. I know… I know. I sounded like a retarded simp always saying that Mei is cute, but you know what? She is! And this is the first time I am in such a situation, don't be an asshole and let me savor it.
Once she was seated, I placed the bowl of porridge in front of her and told her to eat it.
"But, what about you, young master?"
"I'll get mine."
"No, I'll go get mine so you should eat this before it gets cold."
I clicked my tongue which plastered a pout in Mei's mouth, but when I smiled she realized that it was an exaggerated action.
When I told her that I would really get mad if she still argued back, Mei agreed to eat.
"But, you should take the chicken, young master. I put all of it in this bowl."
"I hate chicken."
Mei tilted her head sideways, "Since when? You always say that you love chicken."
"Since now. Just eat," I said then took a bowl of porridge for myself.
The porridge was a bit bland. Anyone would surely say that the meal from earlier is far better. But to me, eating with Mei and seeing her enjoy every bite is superior. It's not even close.
After finishing the meal, "Now then, let's go to bed," I said without any thought.
When I looked at Mei, her cheeks were a bit red and she was avoiding my gaze.
"Mei, What's wrong?"
Still averting my eyes, "Are you telling me to go to bed with you, young master?"
Well fuck. Her shy expression and remembering what I asked her to do the moment I got transmigrated made my thing rise. Still, I now felt a deeper connection with Mei so I was conflicted as to what to tell her. In the end, I decided to respond with honesty.
"It wasn't my intention, but now that you asked, I would be happy if you do," I chuckled and scratched the back of my head, "Nevermind, it was just a–"
Mei turned to me, "Okay," she said.
"Huh? Okay what?"
Her cheeks were much redder, "I'll sleep with you, young master."
"Huh?!"
