Chapter 1: At First Sight

It was nearing the end of the summer season, with the school month about to begin, in an apartment residence, there was a male teenager with fluffy black hair, hazel eyes and described to be a polite kid, but he has been known for not talking to anyone at school, that's why he is dubbed as 'The Outcast of the Academy'

"Well it's the time of the year again." A voice cried out.

That boy's name was none other than Jason Redfield.

"Time to get back to my regular basis, I'm sure I'll still be known as...the Outcast." Jason said to himself.

Back in the day, Jason was known to be someone who was quite reserved and didn't talk to his other classmates but he is secretly a smart and kind gentleman.

"Honestly, I wish to meet someone that I can talk to but I don't think that's the case." Jason said to himself, lying down on his bed.

Meanwhile in a floor above him, resides a popular kid from his school, she has bronde hair with a brunette cut, with green eyes, relaxing in her room

"Well looks like school is coming up then." The voice cried out.

That person was none other than a girl named Luna Aethers.

"I'm so excited." Luna squealed.

"Although I'm sure many boys are going to ask me out." Luna said.

"But as always I'm going to reject them." Luna said.

"Although I do notice than one particular boy back then, the Outcast." Luna said to herself.

"He's quite cute and he's not like the other boys who would simp for me, but he is a quiet person..." Luna said to herself.

"I do kinda like him...but I don't know if he feels the same way..." Luna continued.

"I guess...I'll just have to find out when school starts." Luna said.

"But unlike other girls, I won't be easy to get." Luna said to herself.

"Maybe if I tease him a little, things will be interesting." Luna said.

"That outcast...I feel like there's more to him than others think." Luna said.

*time skip*

School started with old and new students alike arriving and flocking the area.

Jason arrives and began walking around and as per usual, some of the students stared at him and gossiped about him.

"Hey look, it's the Outcast." A girl student said.

"The freak of this school is back huh?" A male student said.

"Geez, I hope this sucker leaves this school." Another male student said.

"He should just leave, he doesn't belong here." A fellow male student said.

"Welp I guess my presence here is still felt huh?" Jason said to himself.

"But if there is one thing that they don't know about me is that...I never learn to give up." Jason continued.

Jason walked down the hall where as he walked down the corridors, he accidentally bumps into someone carrying loads of books.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" The voice cried out.

"I'm terribly sorry, let me help you with that." Jason said.

"It's fine, I can do it myself." The voice said.

"Wait a minute... I know you." The voice said.

"Let me guess, you're going to say Outcast aren't you?" Jason said.

"Well I was going to say that..." The voice said.

"And you are?" Jason asked.

"I'm Luna Aethers, pleasure to meet you." Luna said extending her hand.

"Pleasure to meet you well I guess..." Jason said as he shaked her hand not before immediately letting go.

Jason hears the bell rings.

"I should probably get going." Jason said.

"I see, go ahead. Mr. Outcast." Luna said teasingly.

Jason runs off to his class and sits down to his desk.

"I don't know why but her teasing feels different than the other students." Jason said to himself.

"Well that's my first meeting with him, I must say, he is what I expected from him that the others didn't expect from him." Luna said.

"He's a fine gentleman..." Luna said to herself, smirking as she walked to her classroom.

Then Luna enters inside of the classroom and sees Jason there and learns that she is her seatmate.

"Oh." Both of them said, shocked to see one another.

"Fancy meeting you again." Luna said teasingly as she sat down next to him.

"I guess..." Jason said, looking away, embarrassed.

"Your hair looks kinda messy." Luna said, leaning closer to him.

She proceeds to fix his hair, brushing it carefully and being gentle towards him.

"There we go much better." Luna said with a soft smile.

"You didn't have to do that." Jason said, shrugging it off.

"I could have done that myself." Jason continued.

"You know you should be lucky I did that for you." Luna smirked.

"And why is that?" Jason asked.

"It's once in a lifetime for you to see a girl like me to do that for you." Luna said teasingly.

"Plus, you had to experience it from a popular girl." Luna giggled.

"What a weird girl." Jason said to himself.

Luna simply chuckles at Jason's expression.

As both of them focused their attention, the other students could not help but stare at the two of them sitting next to each other.

"What am I going to do now, everyone is looking at me because I'm sitting next to the popular girl Luna Aethers?!" Jason said to himself, looking away.

"Cutie." Luna whispered.

"What?" Jason asked.

"Nothing, I just said you look like a fool." Luna said teasingly.

"Whatever." Jason said rolling his eyes.

"He's completely clueless and I love it." Luna said to herself, enjoying the moment.

*Time skip*

It was the end of the day, as students started to pack up and Jason started to pack up his things before going back.

"Well, it was nice meeting you, Outcast." Luna said teasingly.

"Tch, when are you going to stop calling me that?" Jason said in annoyance.

"Oh is that so, then I'll call you Jason from now on." Luna replied.

Jason feels surprised but tried to hide it.

"Anyways, see you tomorrow." Luna said.

"See you tomorrow I guess." Jason said as he was following her.

Both of them started walking in two separate directions and when they reached their home, they were surprised to see one another.

"Oh...Jason?!" Luna said in shock.

"L-Luna what are you doing here?" Jason stated, surprised that he keeps encountering her throughout the whole day.

"I could say the same for you." Luna said, crossing her arms.

"Well...wait don't tell me...that you're a stalker?!" Jason said.

"Stalker?!" Luna shouted, her eyes widened.

"Ha! I'd never stalk someone as foolish as you." Luna said, her tone was serious

"But then again..." Luna said, walking closer to him

"It's quite a coincidence that we live in the same apartment complex." Luna said.

"Yeah..." Jason said looking away.

"So, what floor do you live in?" Luna asked, waiting for his response.

"Um...I live in the third floor." Jason replied.

Luna was surprised and quickly responded to him.

"Oh, I live in the fourth floor." Luna replied.

"Well, we should probably get going before it gets late, don't you think?" Luna said.

"Yeah you're right." Jason replied.

Both of them take the elevator and the elevator makes a stop at the third floor and Jason walks out.

"See you tomorrow, Jason." Luna said.

"See you tomorrow, Luna." Jason replied.

Luna waved her hand at him and he waved his hand back and the elevator closed, and Jason went to his room.

"Well that's a way to end the day, learning that your seatmate is also one of your neighbors." Jason said.

"Well I should probably rest and be prepared for tomorrow." Jason continued.

Luna entered her room and went to take a late night shower, as she was bathing, she couldn't help but think of him.

"Hmph, he's such a cutie." Luna said, smiling as she turned off the shower.

She proceeds to head out the bathroom and went to get dressed and used her phone and thought to herself.

"I think I should try to get his contact tomorrow so I can chat and tease him more." Luna said to herself.

"Mr. Outcast hides more than meets the eye." Luna continued.

"There's only one thing certain..." Both of them said to themselves.

"This is going to be an interesting school year." They concluded.
