Chapter 3: The Throne of Power

The sword pulsed in his grip, its dark crimson glow reflecting in his sharp eyes. It wasn't just a weapon—it was a throne, a declaration, a force of nature waiting to be wielded. The raw power coursing through him was intoxicating, an unshackled torrent of magic and might that made the very air around him tremble.

"Damn," he murmured, giving the blade a lazy twirl. "If I wasn't already invincible, this might've actually made me stronger."

The runes on the chamber walls pulsed, responding to his presence. It was clear that the ruins were no longer just ruins. They had been reawakened. The long-forgotten sanctum of the Mage-King was now his domain.

He exhaled, glancing around. "So, what else is hiding in here?"

A Library of Forbidden Knowledge

Exploring the chamber, he soon discovered something far more valuable than gold or jewels—a vast, ancient library carved into the stone walls.

Scrolls and tomes, preserved by magic, lined towering bookshelves. The air was thick with the scent of old parchment and arcane power. He ran a finger along one of the books, and the moment he touched it, knowledge flooded his mind.

Spells. Forbidden rituals. Lost histories.

He smirked. "Now this is interesting."

He picked up another tome, flipping through its pages at lightning speed. Concepts that should have taken lifetimes to master were absorbed effortlessly. He understood everything—how to manipulate mana on a level beyond comprehension, how to warp reality with a mere thought, how to summon storms and part the seas.

"The people of this world really had no idea what kind of power was buried here, huh?" He chuckled. "Good thing I'm here to put it to use."

Then his gaze fell upon a particular scroll, different from the others. The parchment shimmered, almost as if it was alive. Carefully, he unfurled it.

A map.

Marked with the sigil of Altherion.

And at the very center, a name written in an ancient tongue.

"The Throne of Eternity."

A low chuckle escaped his lips. "Now that sounds like something worth visiting."

The World Takes Notice

Far beyond the ruins, in the grand halls of the Holy Empire's capital, chaos erupted.

An archbishop, draped in golden robes, stumbled backward, his eyes wide with horror. The sacred flames in the temple, which had burned steadily for centuries, had suddenly flickered and turned black. The divine sigils carved into the temple walls had cracked.

A bad omen. A sign of something awakening.

The Emperor of Velkaris sat upon his gilded throne, his fingers tapping against the armrest. "What does it mean?" he demanded.

The seer before him trembled. "Your Majesty… an ancient power has returned. A force beyond our comprehension. If it is not stopped, the balance of the world will be—"

A violent gust of wind cut her off as the doors to the throne room burst open. A heavily armored knight stormed in, falling to one knee.

"Your Majesty! The ruins of Altherion… they've been restored!"

Silence.

Then the Emperor's voice, cold and sharp. "Explain."

The knight hesitated, as if struggling to believe his own words. "A man… no, a being of impossible power has claimed them. He wields the sword of the Mage-King. The soldiers who witnessed it say he is not human."

The court erupted into whispers.

The Emperor's grip on his throne tightened. "Summon the war council. If this being exists, then he must be dealt with before he becomes a threat."

But deep down, a chilling realization settled in his chest.

It was already too late.

Stepping Into the World

Back at the ruins, he stood at the entrance, gazing at the setting sun. The map he had discovered burned in his memory, a promise of something greater waiting beyond the horizon.

"A throne of eternity, huh?" He smirked. "Sounds like the perfect place for someone like me."

He turned, gripping the sword at his side. The world was vast, filled with empires, kingdoms, and rulers who thought they held true power.

It was time to show them what true power really looked like.

With a single step, he vanished from the ruins—his journey had begun.
