One demon: don't like but millions: terrified

(Rina's POV)

It has already been more than five days since the charming apostle went to the city. Although she would be extremely embarrassed to admit it, she was really missing him a little.

The way he clumsily tried to help her, the way he sometimes stared at her, the way he cared for her and many other things—

Rina was missing those moments.

When Apostle Ren first arrived at the village and declared his mission given by Lord Vasudev himself.

Rina had steeled her heart to help him however she could.

She had been very much shocked as well as amazed when he casually performed that miracle inside the temple.

That very day, when Apostle Ren started living in the temple, Rina had been chosen as the priestess for the temple.

From that day on, Rina started living behind the third door of miracle and is diligently taking care of the temple.

(Villagers decided to call the four doors created by Ren through miracle "Doors of Miracle")

She accompanied Ren while he went around the village, performing one miracle after another. She cooked for him, she smiled at his clumsy jokes, and she patiently answered his every question, no matter how weird they were.

He also did many things for her. He had tried to cheer her up when she was feeling down, he had played with her daughter so she could work ,he even cooked for her which tasted really delicious.

The more she thought of him the redder she got. She knew it was rude to think that way about a God's apostle but somehow she couldn't help it.

For her Ren was more like a cute young man than some grand apostle.

Before she even knew it she had already gotten attached to him, not to the grand apostle of miracles but to the kind and caring, charming young man beneath that facade.

Although the charming apostle did managed to tug at her heart, she had already decided that she would not fall in love with him.

At the very least, he belonged purely to the Lord, and it was very rare for someone like him to dedicate their life to something very unlike an apostle.

Even after spending almost 3 weeks with him she couldn't say she understood him even a little.

Sometimes he acted very mature but sometimes very childish, sometimes he was a fool but sometimes he was very wise

He was oblivious to the things that should be common sense and his common sense didn't make her any sense.

(Mohan's pov)

Mohan standing before a structure that was currently being built was lost in his own world.

It has been his dream and purpose to open school for a long time. He wished for everyone in the village to be educated

Whenever he thought about the children that couldn't receive any education it made his heart heavy.

The villagers were reluctant to spend massive resources for school.

However, Apostle Ren had supported his decision wholeheartedly. He had personality convinced the villagers saying Lord Vasudev also wish for their well being and progress

Now, his dream was on the verge of coming true, and it was all thanks to Lord Vasudev and Apostle Ren. Everything they had now was thanks to Lord Vasudev.

"Apostle Ren is a person beyond greatness. I bet he is doing miraculous feats even in the city. I hope Lord Norman won't dislike him ," Mohan said with an expression that was like a puppy missing his master.

[Meanwhile, Ren in the City]

Apparently, Ren's plan was halfway to success. He had successfully infiltrated the city welfare club, disguised as a citizen of the city that had been missing for months.

He had successfully fooled the receptionist and convinced her to guide him toward the club leader.

Ren would be lying if he said he wasn't lying or anxious because he was very scared—so much that he was sweating when he reached the room. With eight magical circles.

Ren had no idea what was going to happen from now on, but he was going to find out soon, whether he liked it or not.

The receptionist led him to one of those magic circles, which was located at the far end corner of the room.

Ren walked steady steps while paying attention to every detail of the room.

As soon as they stepped on the inner side of the magic circle, the receptionist barked some commands in a language Ren wasn't familiar with.

"Morva tepram orma,"

she finished her commands. The complex magic circle shimmered, emitting a brilliant blue light, and they both vanished along with that blue light.

When they appeared somewhere else, Ren barely managed not to throw up. He fell on his knees, breathing heavily, but the woman next to him was completely unfazed.

" damn motion sickness" he barked as he glared at the woman in front of him.

Her indifferent attitude was rubbing Ren the wrong way. But he calmed down as soon as he saw her backside's well propertioned figure.

They soon reached a small wooden hut surrounded by vast flower fields.

The flowers were breathtakingly beautiful, capable of mesmerizing any gaze placed upon them.

They weren't just beautiful they were beyond beauty itself.

There was something magical about those flowers, something that was making them beautiful beyond physical sense.

Their crimson petals seemed almost hypnotizing.

Ren couldn't help but stare at those flowers with his eyes wide. He was just about to touch those flowers, but the receptionist yanked his hand and pulled him back.

Ren snapped out of the state he was in and asked in a tone that was a mix of confusion and annoyance.

"What was that for? Why did you stop me from touching the flowers? Are they made of gold or something?"

The receptionist looked at him with a hint of pity on her otherwise indifferent expression and answered,

"Not gold, but something worse, far worse. All those flowers are rank 9 demons. Don't be fooled by their appearance or else they will turn you into something worse than demon. You won't even be able to beg for death."

"D-Demons? All of them? You're joking, right? There are at least millions of them. Are you saying all of those harmless flowers are demons?"

Ren was very surprised by her answer, disbelief evident in his eyes.

How could those beautiful and harmless flowers be demons? Although rank 9 were the weakest of the demons, they were still a nightmare for normal humans.

Just Like awakened humans, demons were also ranked from rank 1 to 9, with rank 1 being the strongest and rank 9 being the weakest.

A single Rank 9 demon was no threat to awakened humans, but it would be a different case if there were millions of them.

Terror gripped his non-awakened heart when he realized the woman in front of him wasn't joking. He instinctively backed away from those flowers and barely managed to utter a doubt.

"Why… Why are you not killing them? Why are they not destroyed yet? Why are you guys keeping demons alive?"

The receptionist stared at him for a while, her indifference never betraying her expression as she replied.

"Because they are useful," she said as if that was the most obvious thing in the world. But Ren knew it wasn't.

He was utterly shocked for a while, but then a flash of understanding appeared on his face.

He knew humans had a way of making anything useful. They could use anything if they thought would be useful.

Even on earth humans had used from dead plants to dead animals , sparing not even cockroaches or bats.

"What are they useful for?" he asked.

The receptionist stared at him as if he was a fool, her eyes loosing the respect she never had for him.

"You are standing atop the corpse of a Rank 3 demon, mankind's worst nightmare, and that's what you're curious about?"

Ren's breath hitched as if threatening to stop. His heart was racing faster than ever, threatening to burst out from his chest. Terror and dread gripped his whole being, and his mind went completely blank.

"What!!!!!!!!!?? R-R-R-Rank 3?"
