Lament wakes up.
Lament: "Where am I?!"
Silence.
"Ohh right. Im vael."
Knock Knock Knock.
Vael's Mom: "Honey??"

Lament: "In a minute!"
Vael's Mom: "Your school opens in 30 minutes!"
Lament opens the door.
Vael's Mom: "I already packed your food. Stay safe okay?"
Lament: "Okay."
— Outside.
Lament: "Whats my.. To do list?"
"School, Sports, Friend meetings..."
"Ehhh."
Lament crumples the paper.
"Boooring!"
He laughs and writes down,
"Puff Sum Smoke."
"Infiltrate the castle. "
— Dealers
Lament: "Hey!!"
Dealer: "What do you need?"
Lament: "The finest."
Dealer: "Pay up."

A day later..
Lament wakes up in a street.
...
A group of guards walk by.
Guard leader: "Alright, Check the—"
Lament sneaks into an alleyway.
"HEEEEEEELP!!!!!"
Guard leader: "What the hell?, I'll check it out."
He walks in the alleyway.
A strangled noise.
Guard 1: "Captain?"
Lament: "Some random hippie overdosed."

Lament: "You keep scouting, I'll head back to the castle."
Guard 1: "Affirmative.
— Castle.
Lament mumbles "This place is so unbelievably shiny."
Knock Knock.
Lament: "Open the gate."
Gatekeeper: "Name?"
Lament thinks..

Lament: "Caelus Aurelis."
Gatekeeper: "Im so sorry sir!!"

Lament sighs "This place is made of the most reflective material I've ever seen."
BLITZ!
Caelus: "Hey there! You must be our new Guard leader, let me show you around."
Lament stumbles and falls
He's back into standing position.
Caelus: "Woah there, didn't mean to startle you."
Silence.
Lament: "Ahh.. Yeah, Lead the way."
He blitzes Lament into another room.
Caelus: "This is my office!"
"You like it?"
Lament: "So shiny."
Caelus: "Thaaats right!"
BLITZ—
They stand at the highest peak of Aurelis.
Caelus: "This is what WE have built. Our hardwork. Our determination."
"This is the price for doing things good."
Lament: "This.. View."
Caelus: "Exactly."
BLITZ—
They're back to the lobby.
Caelus: "I need to do something. Lead well now!!"
BLITZ—
Caelus: "This is your room in the Castle!"
Lament: "Right.. Thanks."
He sits down on the bed.
He pops a pill.
Lament: "Finally.."
He snoozes.
8 hours later.
Lament: "Shit! Where am I??"
He walks out..
Bump!
???: "And who are you?"
Lament: "The Guard Leader!"
???: "You're dirty, your eyes are pure yellow, and you stink."
Lament: "Ah. I forgot."
"Anyways.."
"BOO!"
The guard stumbles and falls back.
"AAAH.. AHH.."
The guard keeps aging older and older.
until he isnt there anymore.
Lament: "I'll take your image."

He walks down.
Lament: "Hey!"
???: "Yes?"
Lament: "Where's Caelus?'
???: "Ummm.. I think hes in his office."
Lament: "Can you check?"
???: "On it sir!"
Lament steals a key from their pocket.
Lament: "Cells door key. Huh.."
Lament checks a multitude of rooms, trying to find the cells.
Lament: "This place is massive.."
Caelus: "Jax." |High ranking Guard's Name|
Lament looks back.
Caelus: "Come with me. wheres ur key?"
Lament: "This?"
Caelus: "Yeah."
BLITZ—
Caelus: "Ex. C has been quite.. feisty. To say the least."
Lament: "What'd he do now?"
Caelus: "Take a look"
They peak in.
It's a cell. An asylum. A chained man bangs on the door.
Caelus: "You know what happened! Don't make me do it again."
BANG. BANG.
Caelus: "Last CHANCE."
CRAAAACK!
The chained man cracks the air.
Caelus: "Hold on now."
He rattles the chained man's brain at lightspeed.
Caelus laughs "Running? AGAIN?"
"You just don't get it, do you? You can scratch at that door, scream, break reality itself, but it won't change a thing. It won't bring him back."
The chained man laughs
Caelus: "Ohhh, don't do that. Don't act like you don't know. Like you don't remember."
"Say it."
No response.
"Say it."
Nothing.
He sighed. Then—lightning fast—his hand shot forward, gripping the man's jaw, forcing him to meet eye to eye.
Caelus: "IT'S YOUR FAULT YOUR BROTHER IS GONE."
The chained man screams at Caelus.
Caelus: "Oh, you want to blame me? You want to blame them? No. No, see, I was there. I saw how it happened."
He smiled, but there was no warmth behind it.
Caelus: "He trusted you. He followed you. And where did that get him?"
The chained man squeezed his eyes shut.
Caelus: "Go ahead. Pretend it's not true. Pretend he wasn't calling for you in his last moments. That he wasn't reaching out, waiting for you to save him."
His grip tightened.
Caelus: "But you didn't."
Silence.
Caelus leaned in, his breath barely a whisper now.
Caelus: "And you never will."
Then, just as suddenly as he grabbed him, he let go, stepping back.
He fixed his hair, exhaling like he had just finished another meaningless task.
Caelus: "But sure. Go ahead. Try to run. Again."
He turned toward the door, laughing.
Caelus: "We both know how that ends."
Lament: "I'll see downstairs. If anything else is wrong."
Caelus: "Go ahead."
BLITZ—
Hes gone.
Lament goes down, to the main power source of the city.
???: "Did the general really die?!"
Lament: "Huh? Uhh.. Yeah."
The weird girl rushes to the outside.
Lament: "What..?"
Creeaaak...
Lament: "So this is the power source?"
He laughs..
Reality distorts.
A dynamite appears in Lament's hands.
