Kaelith deepened the kiss, his grip tightening as if daring her to pull away. But Seraphine didn't. She melted into him, her fingers threading through his hair, surrendering to the fire between them.

Kaelith lifted her effortlessly, carrying her to the bed as if she were something precious. He hovered over her, his gaze searching hers. "Tell me to stop," he whispered, but the plea in his voice said he didn't want her to.

Seraphine reached for him instead, pulling him closer. "Don't you dare."

A rare smile touched his lips before he silenced her with another kiss—one that left no space for doubt, no room for hesitation.
