Year 2147
Earth is no longer the world it used to be. Over the past 125 years, humanity has endured an era of chaos and transformation. Wars over resources, deadly pandemics, and the global economic collapse reduced civilization to ashes, leaving in its place a system rebuilt under a single regime: the United Federation of Sovereign States (UFSS).
This so-called unification promised stability, but instead, it cemented inequality, dividing society into three unbreakable castes.
The Social StructureThe Privileged
Sealed away in their towering Dome Cities, the Privileged live surrounded by cutting-edge technology, absolute security, and a level of opulence the rest of the world can only imagine. These metropolises hover above the devastation of the past, protected by energy fields that isolate them from pollution, violence, and the despair lurking outside.
Elite education, advanced medical care beyond the reach of others, and sophisticated entertainment are just a few of their privileges. Their needs are met with near-inhuman efficiency, and the System—the vast virtual reality world in which everyone now exists—is nothing more than a pastime for them, an escape from their already perfect lives.
They are the ruling elite: politicians, corporate executives, scientists, and above all, the Heroes, who control the threads of global destiny within the System. From their crystal towers, they observe the suffering below with indifference, convinced that the established order is the only possible one.
The Citizens
Outside the Dome Cities, in the Open Cities, live the Citizens. They are the functional middle class, the cogs of the global economy. Their lives are defined by work and conformity—service jobs, automated factories, and mass production shape their daily existence.
Their access to technology is limited, their homes are modest, and their rights are conditional. Education is basic, and healthcare is a matter of availability. Though their lives are stable, social mobility is nearly nonexistent. The only way to ascend is to submit to the System, to learn how to win within its ruthless digital arena, where only a few achieve glory and live to tell the tale.
Thus, despite having access to the System, most choose a monotonous, somewhat peaceful life, accepting their ordinary roles within the machine.
Some believe in the promise of ascension, but the reality is that most fail. The System is designed to maintain the status quo.
The Outcasts
Beyond the city's lights, in the dark and decayed Suburbs, the Outcasts struggle to survive. They are the forgotten ones, discarded by the System despite being trapped within it. They live in crumbling structures, breathing toxic air and relying on scarce supplies. Clean water is a luxury, electricity a fleeting privilege.
Law does not exist in these territories. Gangs, cartels, and militias rule with an iron fist, imposing their own order amid despair and crime. Here, life holds little value.
For the Outcasts, diving into the System is the only chance to escape misery—to earn a ticket to a better life, even if the odds are against them. Many take the risk, but most meet death instead, or scrape by with meager rewards from basic missions that barely allow them to survive another day. And all the while, they are hunted—by gangs, by enforcers, by Heroes who ensure no one exploits the System to climb beyond their place. Inside the System, death is real. Outside of it, nothing is known. Every new generation has been born inside it, and there is no way out.
Rumors say that if someone were to escape, they would find only the Void itself—and with it, certain death.
A World Without Choice
The Federation enforces its rule with an iron grip. Mass surveillance, relentless propaganda, and ruthless repression ensure that no one dares to question the established order. Every citizen is a mere piece on their board, and the only way to survive is to play by their rules.
In this brutal, divided world, where freedom is an illusion and fate seems written in binary code, a story is about to begin. A story of rebellion, sacrifice, and darkness.
Welcome to the year 2147.
