The Secret of Cultivation

Chapter 2: The Secret of Cultivation

Li Yun stood up, feeling the spiritual energy pulsing through his veins. He was still dazed, but the feeling of power filled him with a strange energy.

"I need to learn how to control this," he thought, looking at the trees around him.

He tried to concentrate his spiritual energy, but nothing happened. He felt as if he were trying to move a heavy object with just his mind, to no avail.

"I need a guide," he concluded, remembering the mysterious man's words.

Li Yun began walking through the forest, looking for any sign of life. The sun was beginning to set, casting long, ominous shadows over the trees.

He spotted a small cabin in the distance, smoke billowing from the chimney.

"Maybe someone can help me," he thought, walking towards the cabin.

As he approached, Li Yun heard a hoarse voice.

"Who's there?"

An old man with a white beard and piercing eyes appeared from the doorway.

"I am Li Yun," he replied, "and I need your help."

The old man watched him carefully, his eyes seeming to see right through Li Yun.

"You are a cultivator," the old man said, his voice grave. "But you have not yet learned to control your energy."

Li Yun nodded, feeling a mixture of hope and apprehension.

"I can teach you," the old man continued, "but the path of cultivation is long and arduous. Are you willing to pay the price?"

Li Yun took a deep breath, remembering his passion for mysteries and his desire to become a detective.

"Yes," he replied, with determination.

The old man smiled, revealing yellowed teeth.

"Then come in," he said, opening the door to the hut. "Let us begin your journey."

Li Yun entered the hut, smelling a strong scent of herbs and incense. The old man led him to a dark room, where a single candle illuminated an altar with several strange objects on it.

"This is the Kingdom of Heaven, young man," the old man said, pointing to the altar. "A place where spiritual energy is most concentrated. Here you will learn to control its strength."

Li Yun approached the altar, feeling a powerful energy emanating from it.

"Start by taking a deep breath," the old man instructed. "Focus your mind on the energy within you."

Li Yun closed his eyes and breathed deeply, trying to feel the spiritual energy flowing through his body.

"Now, visualize the energy as a river," the old man continued. "Guide it through your meridians, strengthening your body."

Li Yun concentrated, imagining the energy flowing like a river, through his arms, legs, and head.

At first, he felt only a slight tingling sensation. But over time, the energy began to strengthen, flowing with greater force.

"You're learning fast," the old man said, looking at Li Yun with an approving gaze.

Li Yun opened his eyes, feeling a new energy within him. He was on the path of cultivation, and his journey had only just begun.

But what awaited him in this new world?
