The Start of Something New

The world around me felt cold, and my fur was drenched from head to paw. My tiny body shivered uncontrollably, every sound drowned out by the relentless beating of heavy rain on concrete. I forced myself to push through, but my tiny legs could only carry me so far before I stumbled and fell. The chill from the rain was a new experience for me; I had never felt such cold before, and no matter how hard I tried, my body wouldn't warm up.

The rain pouring down on my face made it difficult to see, and all I could smell was the fresh scent of wet earth. I found myself making whimpering noises uncontrollably. Occasionally, a loud roar would pierce through the sound of the rain, and a metal box would race past me at incredible speed, sending a wave of water crashing over me.

No matter how hard I tried, it felt as if I wasn't getting anywhere. It was like I was walking down an endless path, and the little strength I had was rapidly depleting. No matter how many times I fell, I got back up and kept moving, but the more I pushed forward, the more my body shivered, and the more I whimpered. Soon, I was at the end of my strength and fell over for the last time.

This is it, I thought to myself. I couldn't go any further. I closed my eyes and curled up on the wet concrete, waiting for my inevitable end. As I lay there, my mind flashed back to Lucifer. I remembered how he had sacrificed me to kill his brother. I recalled the huge smile on his face when he thought he had succeeded, and in that moment, my existence felt utterly insignificant.

Just then, I felt a sudden warmth surrounding me, and I realized I was being lifted up by something. I opened my eyes to see giant brown eyes staring back at me, a huge smile plastered across its face.

A giant! It must have been searching for food.

I bared my fangs and let out a frightening growl in hopes of intimidating the giant, but its eyes only sparkled more, and its face flushed red. The giant began to rub its hand around my body, as if checking if I had enough flesh to be worth eating.

"Awwww!!!"

This was its first attack—a threatening screech meant to frighten me. It stared at me even more intently, almost drooling at this point. This creature was a formidable opponent; based on its grip, I could tell it was a hundred times stronger than me. But what was it? How could a creature this powerful exist without my knowledge? Was this one of Lucifer's creations? Maybe it was a secret weapon designed to defeat Michael.

"You're so cute! I could just eat you up."

I knew it!

The giant then pressed its enormous pink lips against my forehead while tightening its grip around my body, trying to squeeze me to death. In response, I retaliated and sank my teeth into its flesh with a savage ferocity.

"Awww... That tickles."

My attack seemed to have no effect, causing the creature to burst out laughing at my weakness. I felt utterly embarrassed by my lack of strength.

"Did you run away from your mama? Don't worry, I'll take good care of you. Let's get you someplace warm."

The giant cradled me in its arms as it began to move at incredible speed.

A few moments later, we arrived in a vast space that I assumed was its lair.

"Let's dry you off," the giant said, wrapping a fluffy cloth around me and rubbing it against my wet fur. "Who's a good puppy, huh? You are... you're the good puppy."

Ruff! Ruff!

I tried again to scare it off, but to no avail. I really didn't want to get eaten by this thing, but there was nothing I could do. I felt utterly helpless, and my powers weren't working either. I kept trying to conjure even a small flame, but it was useless.

"You must be hungry, huh? Let's get you something to eat." The giant left me wrapped in the fluffy cloth, and I felt myself slowly drifting off to sleep. The sensation of the fabric against my damp fur, gradually warming me up, was indescribable. "Oh, shoot! I only have canned food, but that should be fine, I guess."

I was pulled from my slumber by an incredible scent. My mouth began to water uncontrollably, and, as if by pure instinct, I tore myself from the cloth and rushed toward the source of the aroma.

Of course, it had to be that thing. It was holding a bowl in its hand, as if teasing me with it. The smell drove me wild, and before I knew it, I lunged at the giant once again, trying to muster the most menacing growl I could while flashing my sharp, pointed teeth.

Grrrr!! Ruff!! Ruff!! Ruff!!

"Oh my God!! You're so cute!! My heart feels like it's going to explode!"

The giant promptly lifted me up again, putting me in a submission hold, then began showering me with kisses all over my body. If my claws weren't so tiny, I would have ripped off its face for treating me this way. After what felt like an eternity of it enthusiastically toying with me, it finally set me back down on the floor and placed the bowl in front of me. Though I didn't know what it was, I didn't hesitate and started eating.

After I finished, the giant lifted me up and carried me around like a living accessory into another room, where we cuddled and slept together on a warm mattress.

"Whaaaa!!"

I was suddenly awakened by sight of the giant standing over me, a surprised look on its face.

What's wrong? Are we under attack?

The giant just stared at me, its expression one of utter confusion. I tried to get up, but I found myself unable to move. Did it get me? I decided to let out a devastating roar to scare off whatever was attacking us.

"Waaaah!!" *baby noises*

What the hell was that? What kind of sorcery is this? I tried to roar again, but...

"Waaah!!" *baby noises*

Is that sound coming from me? What did that thing do to me? I realized then that this creature wasn't a giant at all; it was a witch!

"W-What's going on? How can a puppy turn into a baby?", the giant said, its voice trembling with disbelief.
