Joel rolled his eyes at Luan's question. "Does it matter? It's not because I'm royalty that I enjoy doing all this socializing stuff."
"Fair enough," Luan replied, a smile on his face.
The three then awkwardly sat next to each other, not knowing what to say. Luan was bored out of his mind and just wanted it to be over with.
While Joel was very anxious, he kept clinging to the sliver of hope that he would be the one that the Emperor and Empress had chosen to become the princess's husband.
As he kept twirling with his hair nervously and looking around, Luan started to become irritated.
"What's your problem?" he asked.
Jasmine looked at Luan like she was offended. "Did I do something wrong?" she countered, raising an eyebrow at his rude question.
Luan just rolled his eyes and pointed at Joel. "Not you, Him."
Jasmine's eyes widened slightly, and she chuckled. As she relaxed once more and kept gazing at her mother and his holiness.
