Visit to The King

Reagan was sitting in a carriage looking out as she made her way to the castle, she wasn't exactly enthusiastic about meeting the King, because that's when the story started and got set into motion. Reagan could just not go to see the King, but she also wanted to see what the Saint looked like and how old she was. In the book it never really talked about the characters age and so she always assumed that they were in there late twenties and so she was extremely shocked when she found out that Reagan Nova Blanc was only nineteen, but she also felt stupid because the setting for 'Loving the Saint' was a school, and she'd be really surprised if the Crown Prince was twenty-nine and still going to school. In her defense when you hear someone talking about the Saint you expect them to be in there late twenties and early thirty's and not some person who just became an "adult". The carriage pulled up to the gates of the castle and Reagan descended the carriage walking into the castle. The throne room was huge and looked very unique, there were portraits of all the previous Kings and Queens and a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling lighting up the room, as Reagan took all of this in, the Herald announced her arrival,

"Your Majesty, Duke Blanc has just arrived"

Reagan bowed to the King as he looked down at her from his throne.

"Raise your head Blanc, today we are going to skip all formalities and get right to it"

The King stood up and started walking towards his study, motioning for Reagan to follow. As they walked into the study Reagan saw a girl that looked to be around her age sitting in a chair, she had snow white hair, and eyes that matched she was a couple inches short than Reagan so around 5'7 as Reagan is 5'10. The girl stood up and bowed to the King, then turned to Reagan

"Greetings Duke Blanc, my name is Astoria and I am a Saint"

She bowed towards Reagan. Reagan had no idea how to react and honestly didn't really want to talk to the Saint because that sounds like a way to get killed by the Prince faster, so she nodded to Astoria and turned back to the King who had begun talking,

"Blanc and Astoria, I would like you guys to attend the Academy of Nordford, it's an Academy for nobles and it has two courses, Astoria would take the magic course so that she can learn about her powers and Blanc you will take the knight course"

Reagan froze in her previous life she had learned how to use all sorts of weapons and quite enjoyed the sports but after her parents passed she hadn't had the chance to attend school as she had to immediately find a job, and Reagan had a similar experience except she had private tutors and when her parents died she threw herself into swordsmanship, untill Alexandra reincarnated into Reagan,

"Your Majesty, my apologies but I oppose your decision, as a Duke I have a fair amount of work on my hands and my family protects the royal family not the Saint"

Any other person would have been beheaded for apposing the King but the Blanc family has protected the royal family since the founding of the kingdom and it was a logical concern,

"Your family will protect whoever I order you to! If you are concerned for our safety I'll have you know that your younger brother Lancé will be protecting the Crown Prince and attending school along with you"

The king said in a firm voice, that gave no room for arguing, Reagan sat down next to Astoria, as the King continued talking,

"I'm not asking I'm telling. Let's move on, Blanc I can't say that while you are at the Academy you don't have to do your duties as Duke because that's simply not true, while attending the Academy you will continue your normal duties as Duke while attending classes."

Reagan was about to argue but the king started talking again,

"Astoria you will share a dorm with Blanc. Normally you'd have your own bedroom but to insure your safety you and Blanc will share a room"

Astoria didn't look pleased about having to share a room with Reagan who barely acknowledged her existence, and Reagan absolutely hated the idea because she really didn't like being close to people, but as it was the King's order Reagan couldn't refuse or complain so she bowed and accepted. As Reagan was taking her leave the King called out to her,

"One more thing, the Academy doesn't allow for students who are not engaged to share a room, so to make sure you got a room together, we marked you two down as engaged."

Reagan was in utter shock not only did she have to attend school while juggling her duties as Duke but she also had to get engaged to the Saint, who was the reason Reagan had died in the book, and not to mention that both Alexandra and the Reagan in the book didn't like the Saint because they didn't understand why she was so kind to people and no matter what rude things Reagan said the Saint didn't take offence. Astoria could practically feel the dislike rolling off of Duke Blanc in waves, and couldn't understand why because this was there first time meeting and she'd done nothing wrong. Astoria herself didn't want to be engaged to someone she saw as hateful but she as a commoner wasn't about to refuse an order from the King. Reagan left without answering, she couldn't because she knew the moment she opened her mouth curse words would start spilling out of her mouth. That day at the mansion that Reagan lived in everyone was in fear because they had never seen her so pissed.
