Yihe Villa was a premium residential area developed by the Su Group, nestled between mountains and water, offering an elegant environment. The pre-launch marketing had been effective, and its location and quality were indeed top-notch. Therefore, even though the Su Group was facing a crisis, the sales office of Yihe Villa still attracted many visitors, with recent sales volumes being quite impressive. It was one of the few projects that could help the group recover financially.
When the group's president arrived personally, the sales manager dared not show any negligence and led them himself. However, he couldn't help but wonder why the notification received early in the morning mentioned that President Su was coming to inspect the work, yet there was no entourage, making it seem more like a casual visit.
Moreover, Su Qingli kept asking Lu Han about the environment and layout, which seemed more like bringing someone to view houses rather than an official inspection.
The sales manager couldn't help but glance at Lu Han a few times, curious about who this man was to warrant such personal attention from the president of the Su Group. Despite his curiosity, he knew what questions were appropriate and stayed silent.
About one-third of the houses in Yihe Villa were still unsold, with only around seven or eight villas left. After spending about an hour and a half viewing all available options, the trio entered a warm VIP room. As soon as Su Qingli instructed the sales manager to attend to other matters, she linked her arm through Lu Han's and asked, "What do you think? Have you found anything you like?"
With subordinates present earlier and the engagement between the Lu and Su families not yet public, Su Qingli had maintained a cool demeanor befitting a group president. Now that they were alone, she felt it was time to be more intimate.
However, seeing Lu Xue also holding onto Lu Han's arm, Su Qingli felt a twinge of displeasure. This girl showed no such reservations and hadn't let go of him since getting out of the car.
"But siblings, it's normal..." Su Qingli thought to herself.
"Do you want me to be honest?" Lu Han said, caught between two different perfumes, feeling somewhat overwhelmed but pleasantly so. Seeing both women paying close attention, he continued slowly, "I don't think we need to buy a villa. For just the two of us, a three-bedroom or even a two-bedroom apartment would suffice."
Lu Han's thoughts were straightforward; after all, their marriage was contractual, lasting at most two years. A house wasn't worth the trouble.
"That won't do!" Lu Xue pouted before Su Qingli could respond. "You might be fine living like that, but what about kids? You'll need more space if you plan on having children. At least two kids, maybe even more."
"And what if you have both a son and a daughter? They can share a room when young, but they'll need separate rooms as they grow older."
"So you'd need a master bedroom, two secondary bedrooms, a study, a children's room, a nanny's room, and a guest room. A big villa is necessary!"
"Brother, I can't side with you on this. Future sister-in-law has thought it through better!"
Lu Xue wanted nothing but the best for Lu Han, unaware of the contractual nature of the marriage. To her, buying a villa was a small matter compared to ensuring Lu Han's comfort.
Su Qingli's jealousy evaporated at the term "future sister-in-law," which struck a chord. Lu Xue's genuine care made her feel appreciated, but the thought of planning for two children before even being engaged was embarrassing.
Could it be... Lu Zhenxin's idea? Su Qingli instinctively glanced at her flat stomach, startled by her own reaction—her first thought was whether childbirth would affect her figure, not whether she wanted to have children with Lu Han.
"Let's just get the villa," Su Qingli blushed, her words stumbling. "Didn't you say yesterday to listen to me?"
Before Lu Han could notice her embarrassment, she added, "You guys chat; I need to use the restroom."
She hurried away, returning minutes later with a composed expression. But sitting next to Lu Han, she couldn't help bending down to rub her ankle, a look of pain crossing her face.
Knowing Lu Han's fondness for her flawless long legs, Su Qingli always wore high heels when with him, making her legs appear longer and slimmer. However, walking in them was uncomfortable, especially today, while touring the villas.
"Lu Han, can you massage my feet? They're killing me," Su Qingli requested, recalling how she had intentionally let Lu Han massage her feet during a movie date, partly to provoke Chu Ruoyan and partly because she enjoyed the attention.
His massage technique was genuinely soothing, and she couldn't help but yearn for it again. Without waiting for his consent, she leaned back slightly, removing her high-heeled shoes and placing her feet on his lap.
Her size 35 feet were delicate and cute, fitting perfectly into Lu Han's large hands. He started massaging without a word.
As Su Qingli luxuriated in the foot massage, almost humming in contentment, she noticed Lu Xue stand up and move behind Lu Han.
"Brother, you must be tired too," Lu Xue said softly, starting to massage his shoulders. Within minutes, sweat beads formed on her smooth forehead.
Looking at Lu Han massaging her feet so attentively and Lu Xue focusing on his shoulders, Su Qingli recalled various moments: Lu Xue reminding Lu Han to be careful while climbing stairs, offering him bottled water repeatedly, and now, massaging him with such dedication.
Compared to Lu Xue's care, Su Qingli felt inadequate. Yet, she was relieved to see that Lu Xue treated Lu Han like a brother, speaking naturally about their marriage and future children, indicating no romantic interest.
Thankfully, not a rival.
