Gen and Lee sat in stunned silence, absorbing the revelation Jin had just shared.
"You mean…" Lee's voice was barely above a whisper. "I'm pregnant?"
Jin nodded. "Yes. And not just with any child—this baby carries Gen's essence. Her abilities, her power… a part of her soul is now inside you."
Lee's hands instinctively went to her stomach. There was no visible sign of change yet, but now, everything made sense—the exhaustion, the cravings, the strange connection she felt.
Gen blinked, completely speechless for the first time in her life. "Wait, wait, wait… I can't get people pregnant! I mean, biologically, that's not possible!"
Jin smirked. "You're not exactly normal, Gen. Your powers don't just let you see the future or fly—they're a fundamental part of who you are. When you and Lee bonded, your energy transferred to her. That energy created life."
Gen ran a hand through her hair, trying to process it all. "So… my powers didn't just disappear? They went into the baby?"
"Part of them, yes," Jin confirmed. "You're still you, but now, that child carries a new version of your abilities."
Lee exhaled shakily. "This… this is insane."
Gen finally snapped out of her daze, a wide grin spreading across her face. "Lee, we're having a baby!"
Lee shot her a glare. "You just now realized?!"
Gen laughed, pulling her into a tight hug. "This is amazing!" Then she paused. "Wait… does this mean our kid is going to be able to fly?"
Jin chuckled. "That's for you two to find out."
Lee groaned, rubbing her temples. "I swear, my life was normal before you."
Gen kissed her forehead. "And now it's extraordinary."
Lee sighed, but she couldn't hide the small smile forming on her lips. "Yeah… I guess it is."
The ride back home was quiet—at least for Lee. She was still in shock, processing everything. A baby. Their baby. It felt surreal.
Gen, on the other hand, was absolutely thrilled.
The moment they stepped inside, she turned to Lee with a smirk. "Well, babe, looks like we easily passed your mom's condition."
Lee blinked, still lost in thought. "Huh?"
Gen wrapped an arm around Lee's shoulders, her teasing smile widening. "You know, about giving her a grandchild? I mean, we didn't even have to try that hard. One night, and boom! Mission accomplished!"
Lee's face turned red instantly. "Gen!"
Gen burst into laughter. "Oh, come on, babe! Admit it—this is kinda funny!"
Lee crossed her arms. "No, it's not. This is serious!"
Gen stepped closer, her eyes glinting mischievously. "Oh, I know. I took it very seriously that night, remember?"
Lee smacked Gen's arm. "Shut up!"
Gen grinned, then placed a gentle hand on Lee's stomach. "Jokes aside… I'm really happy, Lee. I never thought about having a family like this, but with you? It just feels right."
Lee sighed, her irritation fading as she looked into Gen's warm eyes. "Yeah… it does."
Gen kissed her forehead. "Now, should we tell your mom, or let her figure it out when you start eating twice your usual amount?"
Lee rolled her eyes. "You are unbearable."
Gen laughed. "And yet, you love me."
Lee groaned. "Unfortunately, yes."
Gen smirked. "Lucky me."
