Leo starts transferring properties

Before long, the days turned into weeks and Leo had begun to strategize some measures to secure his very own future. He started to transfer properties and assets in his mother's name to secure his and his entire family's future.

Elsie was too preoccupied and wasn't quick enough to cotton on to the changes. But then, as the transferring continued, she began to see strange things creeping in. "Leo," she said one evening, a note of sharpness in her tone, "what's going on about the accounts? Why are so many properties being transferred?"

Leo smiled, his expression calm and reassuring. "It's just a precaution, Elsie. We need to make sure everything is secure. Trust me."

Elsie absorbed it, but the seed of doubt in her mind continued to grow.

Elsie failed to notice

On luxurious and extravagant days, Elsie attended glamorous events of high society, bought expensive clothes and jewelry, and lived her life in excess. It was such enjoyment that made her not notice the subtle moves being made by Leo.

But Mama Elsie knew. She kept watching from the side, narrowing her eyes watching the transfers. "Elsie," she said one evening urgently, "you should be careful. Leo isn't to be trusted."

Elsie frowned, her heart heavy with guilt. "Mama, I know what I'm doing. Leo is on my side."

Mama Elsie's expression hardened, and she stepped closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Don't be a fool, Elsie. He's using you. You need to take control before it is too late. For God's sake, stop all these endless social events of yours and look into your business! "

As days went by, the doubts increased inside Mama Elsie's head. She began to spy on Leo's movements and used her sources to find out what he was doing. The discovery shook her completely. Not only did Leo manipulate Elsie, but he also planned to take everything for himself.

Mama Elsie said in a very urgent voice as she stood by Elsie, "You have to listen to me, Elsie. Leo is not what he seems to be. He is marrying you in order to take over Damian's wealth. You have got to stop him before it's too late."

Elsie's heart raced as she listened to her mother's words. She knew something had to be done, but the very idea of turning against Leo terrified her.
