As soon as the doors of the elevator closed, Ace stilled, withdrawing his hand from Gina's shoulder.
"You hurt her." He said, his voice cold, unwavering.
Gina's jaw tightened, but she tried to hide it, "Who?" She feigned ignorance.
"Don't play with me, Gina." Ace's sharp and furious gaze snapped to her.
Gina swallowed, biting her lip gently, "I stumbled."
"You don't just 'stumble' Zara!" He scolded.
Gina exhaled slowly, shifting just two feet away from Ace.
The cool metal of the elevator doors reflected her tense expression as she folded her arms.
She didn't say anything further. She didn't want to argue. Especially not in front of his secretary.
She let the moment stretch further; after all, she knew Ace caught her red-handed.
"You know she won't let it slide, right?" Ace asked, though sounding more like a warning.
