Ace slumped onto the bed, running a hand through his hair—exhausted, but oddly hopeful.

"Dating your ex-husband's uncle is going to be chaotic, especially when the media finds out," he said, his voice low. "You won't be able to handle it like this. You're a strong woman, Zara. You can't keep breaking down in front of everyone. You have to stay strong—for your kids."

Zara's hand tightened on the doorknob. But slowly, she let it go and walked back to him, stopping just inches away.

She had thought about it carefully, and he was right. Maybe it was time to trust another therapist—especially since it was Ace recommending it.

But not without a condition.

"I'll give her a try," Zara said.

Ace looked up quickly, hope flashing in his eyes. "Really?"

"Yes," she nodded, holding his gaze. "But on one condition."

"What is it?" he asked, eager and anxious. He was ready to do anything if it meant helping her.
