Promise?

Elizabeth raised her hand to knock Clark's head.

"YOU! Stop dodging and let me hit you!" she said angrily to Clark.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..." Clark laughed as he dodge Elizabeth's hand. He is no longer sad as he was earlier. 

"If you want to hit me, you're gonna have to do better than that! HAHAHAHAH" as Clark said this with a mocking smile, he immediately ran towards the forest.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!" Elizabeth snapped at Clark's mocking smile at her and chased Clark.

"OH, DON'T LET ME CATCH YOU, YOU LITTLE BRAT!" Elizabeth shouted as she continued to chase Clark.

When Clark heard this he immediately stopped and looked at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth saw this and smiled,

"Give up already?"

Clark just smiled and said,

"Elizabeth, follow me onto the hill, I will show you some things."

Clark's expression was very earnest, seemingly like having decided on something.

Elizabeth also did not again play, on her little face revealing cleverness, nodding towards him.

Clark SanJose took the initiative and pulled Elizabeth by her delicate hand, and ran for the small hill outside the village. The two's shadows under the illumination of the setting sun gradually lengthened on the ground.

When Clark holds Elizabeth's hand, she blushes really hard and continues to run with him. Clark didn't see this.

Clark SanJose brought Elizabeth Valentine continuously running to the hilltop before coming to a stop, under conditions of fully pushing Sonido, he could not help but pant slightly.

He released her hand when they reach the hilltop

Standing on the hilltop, Clark SanJose faced the setting sun, both eyes already filled with Red.

"Elizabeth, this is my former practice place. I am very seriously asking you a question, and I hope you can seriously answer me." Clark said to Elizabeth, while looking at the view of the hilltop.

Elizabeth Valentine bit her lip,

Clark slowly turned around, seriously looking at Elizabeth,

"Do you really mean what you said earlier? That you promise not to leave my side?"

Elizabeth remembered what she said earlier, she really meant what she said earlier but she has a mission to fulfill, so she was very conflicted. 

'Idiot! Of course I don't want to leave you! After a year of happiness, Closeness, trust in one person that I didn't know I have.... But I have a mission to fulfill. I know that someday I will leave your side, but I have my own responsibilities. I hope you forgive me when the time comes.' she thought and was about to speak.

Elizabeth was about to say something, but was stopped by Clark,

"First listen to what I have to say. I have nothing, you have also seen my family's circumstances, and I am only descended from impoverished commoners. I cannot give you wealth and also cannot give you power. You also have innate full spirit power, but you and I are not alike, I can see your life's experiences should have some story. But I never asked, because I feared that our backgrounds disparity is too great. Although I am unable to give you what nobles possess, I can give you my promise. I will always protect you with all my life, and will not let anyone harm you!" Clark said with confidence and seriousness.

Seeing teardrops glimmer in Clark's eyes, Elizabeth's eyes gradually reddened,

"If one day, there are very many people wanting to kill me, and you are unable to defeat those people, then what?"

Clark unexpectedly revealed a tiny smile,

"They have to get past me first, over my dead body!"

Elizabeth was silent, Clark also did not speak again, and the red of the setting sun gradually slipped away, by now in the sky above stars already softly emerged.

"What if one day you'll find out that I am your enemy?" she looked at Clark with slight tears on her face.

Clark heard this and confused by her questions and he answered,

"If you are really my enemy, then i will do my best to stop you and not kill you"

"But I do hope it doesn't happen," Clark added.

Elizabeth was silent when she heard this and she wiped her tears.
