"We're Running Out of Time!"
The base shook violently as the countdown ticked down to four minutes.
Flashing red lights. Warning sirens.
Kai's mind raced. His fingers flew over his interface, attempting to delay the explosion.
"How's that door looking, Zero?!"
Zero kicked a downed mech out of the way. "Working on it, boss!"
Sparks flew as she hacked into the blast doors.
Meanwhile, Seraph held the line, her plasma blade deflecting incoming fire.
Nova took cover, dual pistols flashing in rapid succession.
The Enforcer and Revenant? Still locked in a brutal clash.
Claws met steel. Sparks flew as the Enforcer countered every wild strike.
But the Revenant was relentless.
And then—
The Phantom stood up from the wreckage.
"You think you've won? I'm just getting started."**
Kai groaned. "Dude, take a hint!"**
The Phantom tapped his interface.
And then—
Every remaining turret in the base turned on them.
---
"Brace for Impact!"
BOOM!
Explosions ripped through the facility.
The turrets unleashed a storm of bullets.
Kai barely dove behind cover as metal shredded the walls.
Nova snarled. "I'm getting real tired of this guy."
Seraph narrowed her eyes. "Kai, we need a way out. Now."
Kai glanced at the Phantom.
Then at the unstable Revenant.
Then at the explosive barrels near the structural supports.
His eyes gleamed. "I got an idea."
Zero looked at him. "Oh no."
Kai grinned. "Oh yes."
And then—
He hacked the Revenant's neural link.
---
The Revenant Turns
The Revenant froze mid-swing.
Its glowing red eyes flickered.
Kai's voice echoed in its mind.
"You wanna destroy the real enemy? There he is."
Its gaze snapped to the Phantom.
The Phantom paled. "Oh, come on—"
The Revenant lunged.
CRASH!
It tore through the turrets, smashing through Phantom's defenses.
A digital scream filled the air.
Kai smirked. "That's one problem solved."
But the base was still—
Collapsing.
---
The Great Escape
One minute left.
Zero finally bypassed the lock. "Door's open!"
Seraph grabbed Kai's arm. "MOVE!"
They rushed through the exit, dodging falling debris.
Behind them—
The Revenant and the Phantom vanished in the explosion.
The Enforcer, barely conscious, stumbled toward them.
Nova caught her. "Come on, don't die on us now."
They jumped onto their stolen transport.
And then—
BOOM.
The facility erupted in fire, collapsing into itself.
They barely outran the shockwave.
And as the dust settled—
Kai exhaled. "Remind me to never do that again."
Zero smirked. "You're totally doing that again."
Kai sighed. "Yeah, probably."
But as they looked back—
They all knew.
The Hidden Organization wasn't done yet.
