Chapter 32 – The Mission at Hamilton Royal Academy

A Letter from Black Frost

The flickering candlelight cast long shadows across the wooden table in the dimly lit room. The Black Frost Guild was silent, save for the occasional creak of the old building settling into the night. A single letter, wax-sealed in deep black, rested in front of Rin.

He picked it up, breaking the seal with a flick of his knife. The paper inside was crisp, expensive—a noble's desperate plea.

"To the ones who operate in the dark, I beg for your aid."

"My daughter is held captive as punishment for my past sins. She is imprisoned by the eldest son of House Crowley, who toys with her like a mere possession."

"In return, I offer you passage into the Ancient Royal Academy of Hamilton—four entry permits, fully paid. Attend in my family's name and retrieve my daughter from the inside."

"This is my last hope."

Rin leaned back, a smirk playing at his lips. The Ancient Royal Academy of Hamilton, the breeding ground of the elites, a place where even nobles plotted against one another behind closed doors.

"Interesting," he muttered.

Engine, seated across from him, lazily twirled his red thorny umbrella. "So, you're planning to go?"

"If he's offering full entry into Hamilton, then he's not just desperate—he's rich," Rin said, placing the letter down. "But four IDs won't be enough. He'll have to provide five."

Engine raised an eyebrow. "And who's the fifth?"

"Ezra."

The moment he said her name, the door slammed open, and Ezra stormed in, her long black hair flowing wildly behind her. Her sharp gaze locked onto Rin.

"You idiot! Where the hell have you been?! I've been handling your mess for days!" she scolded.

Rin sighed, rubbing his temples. "Nice to see you too, Ezra."

Ignoring his remark, Ezra snatched the letter and scanned it. Then, she smirked.

"Hamilton, huh?" she mused. "Guess I'll be seeing my old stomping grounds again."

"You've been there?" Charlotte asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ezra flashed a Black Frost ID, her smirk widening. "Not just been there, sweetie. I was a tutorial teacher."

Ray glanced at Rin. "This is either a disaster or a blessing."

The next day, the nobleman arrived—a thin man with weary eyes, his hands trembling as he handed over five silver-engraved school IDs.

"You will take on the identity of the Ryukai family," he explained. "We were once nobles under House Vox… before we fell from grace."

"And why exactly did you fall?" Rin asked, leaning forward.

The man swallowed hard. "We… angered the wrong people."

Rin didn't press further. "We'll get your daughter back. Just make sure you hold up your end of the deal."

With their identities established, Rin, Ray, Charlotte, Selena, and Champa were now Squad 7 of Black Frost within Hamilton.

Dressed in their new academy uniforms, the team stood at the carriage station, luggage in hand. The air was thick with anticipation.

Ezra stretched her arms behind her head. "Alright, kiddies, time to play students."

As the carriages arrived, Rin felt a pair of eyes on him.

Across the street, an old man sat on a wooden bench, reading a newspaper. Nothing about him seemed unusual—until his entire body flickered out of existence like a mirage.

A small metal orb clattered to the ground, rolling to a stop at a man's feet. It whirred softly, then spoke in a monotone voice:

"They've left."

Scene 4: The Balotelli Mansion – Elsa's Obsession

At that same moment, deep inside the Balotelli Mansion, a golden coin spun on a marble table, reflecting the candlelight. Elsa balotelli sat in her grand chamber, a lazy smile on her lips as she heard the whispered report.

"My, my…" she mused, tossing her school ID onto the table.

Her fingers traced the delicate edges as she chuckled.

"You can no longer run away from me again, bea."

Her laughter echoed through the halls.
