"Find me… before it's too late."
The voice echoed through Kai's mind, soft yet desperate, like a whisper carried by the wind. His fingers tightened around the ancient stringed instrument in his hands. The moment he touched it, his world had shattered.
Flashes of a life he didn't remember
A grand ballroom bathed in golden light.
A woman in silver, her eyes holding galaxies.
A soft melody playing as two souls made a promise beneath the stars.
Then darkness.
Kai gasped, stumbling backward. The dim glow of the antique shop flickered as if reality itself had shifted. His heart pounded in his chest. What the hell was that?
"Are you alright?" the old man behind the counter asked, his gaze knowing, as if he had seen this happen before.
Kai's breath was unsteady. He looked down at the instrument its polished wood felt warm, almost alive. Something about it felt… familiar. As if it was waiting for him.
"What is this thing?" he asked, his voice hoarse.
The old man smiled, his wrinkled hands folding over the counter. "It's called the Celestial Echo."
Kai frowned. The name sent a shiver down his spine.
The old man leaned in, his voice barely above a whisper. "They say it only sings for those whose souls are bound by fate."
Kai's fingers brushed against the strings again, and the whispers returned her voice, calling out to him.
"Find me."
And just like that, Kai knew his life would never be the same again.
