Su Xiaoyu

Some Time Passed

When the bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, the kindergarten children quickly packed up to leave. Some ran excitedly toward the gate, while others strolled leisurely with their friends.

Luo Fan and Luo Tian walked side by side toward the gate, waiting for their ride. Just as they were about to arrive, a cheerful voice called out from behind.

"Luo Tian!"

They turned around to see Su Xiaoyu jogging toward them, her face beaming. "Let's walk to the gate together!"

Luo Fan immediately crossed his arms and scoffed. "No need, we can go by ourselves!"

Su Xiaoyu shot him a sharp look. "I wasn't talking to you."

Luo Tian smiled politely. "Sure, Su Xiaoyu."

Luo Fan clicked his tongue in annoyance. He really didn't like how Su Xiaoyu always tried to get close to his brother.

He didn't like that annoying girl at all.

The three of them walked together, but Luo Fan deliberately quickened his pace to place himself between Luo Tian and Su Xiaoyu, separating them.

Su Xiaoyu frowned at him. "Hey, why are you standing in the middle?"

"I'm just making sure you don't do anything weird to my brother!" Luo Fan replied sarcastically.

Su Xiaoyu huffed. "What do you mean by 'weird'? I just want to talk!"

Luo Tian chuckled. "Don't take it to heart, Su Xiaoyu. My little brother just likes to act tough."

Luo Fan immediately turned with an annoyed expression. "Luo Tian! Stop calling me little brother!"

Su Xiaoyu smirked. "That's right! You really are the younger one! Hahaha!"

Luo Fan's face turned even redder with irritation. "I'm only five minutes younger!"

"Still makes you the little brother!"

Luo Tian simply smiled as they bickered. Truthfully, he was glad that his brother had someone who could make him more expressive. Normally, Luo Fan was cold and uninterested in interacting with others.

When they reached the gate, several other children were waiting for their rides. Soon, two luxury cars pulled up almost simultaneously.

"That's my ride," Su Xiaoyu said, pointing to a sleek black car parked nearby.

She was clearly showing off to Luo Fan.

She wanted to make Luo Fan unhappy.

Luo Fan frowned. "Huh? You're rich too?"

Su Xiaoyu crossed her arms. "Of course! Who do you think I am?"

Luo Fan clicked his tongue. "Hmph, no wonder you're so arrogant."

Su Xiaoyu ignored him, keeping her eyes on Luo Tian.

Luo Tian smiled gently. "See you tomorrow, Su Xiaoyu."

Su Xiaoyu waved. "See you, Luo Tian! And you too, little brother!"

Luo Fan just scoffed and got into the car with his brother.

As the car drove away, Luo Tian glanced at his brother with a teasing smile. "Looks like you've made a new friend."

Luo Fan rolled his eyes. "Hmph! I'm not friends with an annoying girl like her!"

Luo Tian chuckled. "I think you two actually get along pretty well."

Luo Fan didn't respond, but he had a feeling that with Su Xiaoyu around, his days would never be boring.

As their car moved further away from the kindergarten, Luo Fan rested his head against the window, trying to ignore the knowing smile on Luo Tian's face.

"You look happy, little brother," Luo Tian teased softly.

Luo Fan scoffed and shot him a sharp glare. "Stop calling me little brother! And I'm not happy! I'm just tired."

Luo Tian chuckled. "Alright, alright. But you have to admit, today wasn't as bad as you thought, right?"

Luo Fan just huffed and stayed silent.

Their caretaker, Madam Zhang, who was sitting in the front seat, smiled as she listened to their conversation. "Young Masters Luo Fan and Luo Tian, you two really get along well."

Luo Fan immediately protested, "Who gets along with this guy?"

Luo Tian only smiled warmly, unfazed by his brother's words.

Before long, their car entered a luxurious residential area and stopped in front of their family's grand villa. As they stepped out, Luo Fan caught a glimpse of an even bigger and more extravagant mansion next door.

"Who lives there?" he murmured.

Luo Tian glanced at him. "Curious?"

"Not really," Luo Fan replied quickly before heading into the house.

As soon as they entered, the delicious aroma of food greeted them. A servant bowed respectfully. "Young Masters, Madam and Master are waiting in the dining room."

Luo Fan sighed. "Haa… another dinner."

Luo Tian smiled. "You need to eat properly, little brother."

Luo Fan didn't respond and simply walked toward the dining room, where their mother, Luo Mei, and their father, Wang Jian, were already seated.

"You're back," Luo Mei said in a firm but warm voice.

"Welcome home," Wang Jian added with a gentle smile.

Luo Tian responded politely, "We're home."

Luo Fan simply gave a small nod and took his seat.

As dinner began, their father asked, "How was your day at kindergarten?"

Luo Tian smiled. "It was great. We played a lot of games, and I got to help some friends."

Wang Jian nodded approvingly. "Good. You're a kind boy, Tian'er."

Luo Fan, who had been silent the entire time, continued eating, uninterested in the conversation.

Luo Mei glanced at her younger son. "What about you, Fan'er?"

Luo Fan shrugged. "Same as always. Nothing special."

Luo Tian chuckled. "Really? But I remember you meeting a new friend today."

Luo Fan immediately turned to glare at him. "That's not a friend!"

Wang Jian raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Who are you talking about, Tian'er?"

Luo Tian smiled. "Her name is Su Xiaoyu. She's in our class."

Luo Mei nodded. "Su Xiaoyu? That name sounds familiar."

She thought for a moment, then said, "If I'm not mistaken, she's the daughter of the Su family, who owns a major technology company."

Luo Fan was surprised. "So she really is rich?"

"Don't judge people based on their background, Fan'er," Luo Mei said firmly.

Luo Fan pouted. "I'm not judging. I just didn't expect it."

Luo Tian smiled gently. "I think you and Su Xiaoyu could become good friends."

Luo Fan scoffed. "Hmph! Don't count on it!"

Luo Mei and Wang Jian exchanged glances, while Luo Tian simply smiled knowingly.

Dinner continued in a warm atmosphere. Even though Luo Fan often acted cold and uninterested, everyone at the table knew that deep down, he had a warm heart.
