After humiliating Lucas, Zero becomes a marked man. The Lucas family, unwilling to let the insult slide, hires a D-rank assassin with lightning abilities to eliminate him.

As Zero walks home, an eerie sensation crawls up his spine—someone is following him. Without hesitation, he activates Shadow Hide, vanishing into the darkness just as a deadly strike whizzes past where he stood.

Recognizing that Zero isn't an ordinary F-rank, the assassin intensifies his assault, unleashing a flurry of high-speed lightning strikes to corner him.

Zero relies on strategy rather than sheer strength, using Blindness to disrupt his enemy's vision and countering with well-timed, precise attacks.

After a brutal battle, Zero emerges victorious but is left gravely wounded. As the assassin takes his final breath, a chilling smile creeps onto his lips. "This is only the beginning... far stronger foes will hunt you down."

Zero understands that time is against him—he must grow stronger quickly, or the next assassin will be his end.

Determined to grow stronger, he enters an E-rank dungeon despite still being an F-rank. Inside, he faces mutant wolves, their enhanced speed and coordinated attacks making them formidable foes. Utilizing Shadow Hide, he moves unpredictably, striking from the darkness and eliminating them one by one.

After slaying the formidable Wolf King, a surge of dark energy engulfs Zero, elevating his Dark Element to C-rank. Alongside this newfound power, he acquires a deadly skill—Shadow Claws, allowing him to unleash razor-sharp energy slashes capable of cutting through even the toughest foes.

As he leaves, he discovers an injured girl slumped against the cold dungeon wall, her trembling hands stained with blood. Corpses surround her, their lifeless eyes staring into the void. She reaches out weakly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Please... help me..." But Zero narrows his eyes, his instincts screaming at him—something isn't right.

Zero decides to take the girl, Luna, to safety. She claims she was abandoned by her hunter party. However, Zero remains wary.

That night, while resting, he jolts awake to find Luna pressing a knife against his throat, her eyes sharp with intent. "You're stronger than I expected," she murmurs. She reveals herself as a spy sent by the dark organization to evaluate his abilities.

A fierce battle erupts in the ruined village, Luna's wind abilities granting her incredible speed and precision. But Zero, armed with his dark elemental powers, counters every strike. After a brutal exchange, he finally overpowers her, pinning her to the ground.

Zero presses his blade against her throat. "Where is your organization?"

Luna smirks despite her situation. "You're strong, but you can't fight against the Dark Organization."

Zero's eyes narrow. "What is your group's goal?"

"We seek power," Luna replies. "If you join us, you will become stronger than you ever imagined."

Zero shakes his head. "You kill innocent people and call it strength? That's nothing but madness."

Luna glares at him but remains silent. Without hesitation, Zero drives his blade forward, ending her life in an instant. He stands up, wiping the blood from his weapon. "I have no place in an organization built on bloodshed."
