'Ricky?'
Gio hummed curiously as he opened the door, seeing the older boy for the first time in at least a few months.
"It's rare for you to visit. What's up?"
He moved over, making space for Ricky to enter the house before closing the door behind him.
"Nothing much," Ricky responded with a shrug.
"I just had some things I wanted to talk about."
He took a seat on one of the new chairs Gio bought since his house received more visitors than expected in recent days. Gio pulled out a seat for himself before going to the fridge and grabbing two drinks for them.
He didn't have much, but he could flavor some water and give them something to sip on while they talked, which was enough.
Ricky stayed silent through it all. When Gio sat down and passed him his cup, he grabbed it and took a sip with his eyes on the ground.
"I've been living in the city for the past few months, ever since we came back from the mine," he finally said.
