The zephyr returned the day after their final duel. It was expected. They scheduled their final duel the day before on purpose.
It landed in the morning before either of them was properly awake, but Raymond intentionally had the pilots disable stealth so the roaring of its engines would wake them up.
Naturally, they scrambled out of bed and rushed to put their clothes on, heading outside to see what was causing the commotion.
They were greeted by Raymond and Natalia, waiting in their signature position at the top of the ramp up to the cargo bay.
"Missed us?" Raymond asked with a grin.
"Hell no!" Jax replied with the same expression.
"I was actually crying last night because my vacation is ending. You should ask Gio. He was complaining because he couldn't sleep."
It was a completely fabricated story. They couldn't even hear each other through the walls of their tents which were more like mobile homes.
