Chapter 82: Four Shots Fired

BANG!

A shot rang out. Then another. Then another.

The blonde, barely regaining her footing, staggered backward as the bullets tore through her head and chest — one, two, three, four — until she slammed against the wall and slid down, leaving a smear of red in her wake.

Four shots killed her.

Blood pooled beneath her body.

Olivia did not scream — she just stared at the corpse blankly, her eyes hollow and empty.

Ellie's hands flew to her mouth. Mark froze.

"Arya! Do something!" Mark exclaimed, spinning around trying to find a hiding spot.

They all turned to her, startled — disbelief mixing with fear. The seeker still stood, its gun now lowered, chest heaving like something alive, steam hissing from its vents.

Then, it stopped moving.
