2 - Merging

Coco was seated on the lakeside lost in the moment, the movements of the little fishes in the water bringing a smile to his face, a frozen Ivy held carefully on one hand, his Qi revolving around it to keep it form.

All his life, he only wanted to reach the top of the cultivation world, and in doing so he has spared no efforts to gather resources.

Now here he was an immortal, the top lord of the cultivation world, the first to achieve immortality in recorded history.

But unlike what he initially thought, his heart felt empty, hollow and just….dead.

Inorder to get him the last thing that he needed to achieve immortality, she had given her life - she had sacrificed herself and controlled him to pierce through her chest with his sword.

If he had known that inorder to achieve immortality, the cultivator needed to snuff the life of all dear to him and cut off all his worldly feelings - then he would never had pursued this path.

They would have lived peacefully as any other human couple in the village they grew up in and lived a fulfilled life, but no, he.....

Coco drew a deep breath when her reassuring smile flashed in his mind as her life bled away.

If only he could go back in time…..

Or maybe end his life, but he was now an immortal.

His mind focused when the calm surface of the lake trembled, he suddenly remembered the land tremor that had occured a few hours earlier and thought to pay it no heed.

A few hours later his face tensed when he sensed a strange aura on their world, he placed the frozen Ivy into a wooden box and with a fick of his hands, it disappeared into his space.

Next moment, he spread his senses out, scanning for where the disturbance was coming from. A few minutes later his lips curled up into a frown, he did find the source of the strange aura but the problem was it was everywhere and at the same time, nowhere.

A bad feeling crept up on him and he immediately flew back to him house, summoning all the half-immortals to his abode.

Half immortals are cultivators that either failed to transcend into immortality or those that refused to pay the price of immortality.

Soon all 6 half immortals were present and they stood before him with similar tense expressions.

They hovered above ground as the tremors were still occuring, the distinct screams of mortals and low level cultivators echoed in the background, no doubt the tremors had bought forth huge disasters.

"Lord Immortal, there's something weird happening to our world" one of the immortals immediately started not waiting for him to start.

"There seems to be something ....invading?" He continued, not sure of what he was feeling.

Coco nodded slightly, his face still expressionless as he listened to the half immortals all speak out.

Suddenly the world became silent and a strange blue light fell on their world.

They were all shocked, never had they seen such. The entire world was blue, it looked like someone had but a blue cloth over the sun or something like that.

The six half immortals looked at Coco together but he too was shocked.

Before they could fully comprehend the new changes that had occured, the sun disappeared and everywhere was pitch black, two of the half immortals that were fire elemental lit flames on their hands, but the darkness was too much and they could only feel the heat.

Fear gripped them, as they blindly felt around trying to get to the next person, but like the blind leading the blind, they went around in circles and could not get on to the next person.

After a few minutes of panic, they calmed down and spread their senses around, to their utter dismay - they couldn't feel around them.

After hours of being like that, they noticed that their surrounding was becoming clear - a sense of relief washed through them.

Little did they know that they had become happy to quick - once the surrounding was clear enough to make our their own body a huge rain befell the cultivation world.

It tasted metallic and if they could see, they'll realize that it was blood red.

Then, the tremors started again, with the weird rain and utter darkness - the fear the cultivators were feeling was crippling.

Meanwhile, in Earth - the same phenomenal was befalling.

Bella felt her chest tightening, she was standing at the hospital entrance about to transport a patient from the ambulance to the stretcher when the world went blue, she stood frozen observing the afternoon sky that was now pitch blue - shades darker than normal.

Now as she felt the rain hit her body, she was tempted to rush for cover, but she could not see around her - so she stood frozen in place.

Some time later the tremors started again and she knelt down trying to balance her body, the weird smeeling, metallic rain did nothing to help.

After hours of this weird phenomenal, the rain stopped and the darkness past- but the blue hue still stood the same.

Her eyes took a few seconds to adjust, but when they finally did she came face to face with a strange sight.

Before her stood Mr Jabbie, wearing a weird outfit, standing Infront of a courtyard- one she was sure was never there before.

She turned around and saw that the hospital was still behind her, but when she turned back he was still here - in that strange outfit and weird courtyard.

She looked at him for a short time and laughed at herself - she shook her head, trying to clear her mind of the hallucination.

When she opened her eyes, she came face to face with him still standing there - he too looked frozen when he set eyes on her, he looked shaken even - his focusing on her like one would a long lost beloved.

" Oh God, I'm going crazy. He would never look at me like that" Bella slapped herself, trying to wake herself up from this dream.

But the image still stood there, " well, I might as well just enjoy this then" she muttered.

She placed her hands into her coat pockets and a small smile spread on her lips - she froze when the figure closed in on her and wrapped her in his arms.

"Well this hallucination is a bit too real" she thought when she felt the warmth of the man.

" Ivy, my Ivy. I'm so sorry" the man spoke, his voice breaking halfway
