Chapter 37: Memories and Prospects

Irene and Hawk decided to return to the place where they lived as children and recall every bit of the past. They came to the former orphanage, which had been renovated. The laughter of children echoed in the courtyard. Looking at those familiar corners, they remembered the scenes of playing together when they were young, and their hearts were filled with emotion.

"If our parents were still alive, they would surely be proud of us," Irene said softly, with tears glistening in her eyes. The gentle smiles of her parents emerged in her mind, and the warmth of the past rushed to her heart in an instant.

Hawk gently took her hand and said, "They would. Everything we've done is to make the world a better place, and that was also their wish." His eyes revealed firmness and longing, as if he could see a promising future.

The two sat in the orphanage courtyard for a long time. They reminisced about the hardships of the past and also looked forward to their future lives. They knew that the road ahead was still long, full of unknowns and challenges, but they believed that as long as they were together, no difficulties could stop them.
