Chapter 43: A Turning Point Appears

Just when Irene and Hawk were at their wits' end, an unfamiliar number called. A cautious voice came from the other end of the phone: "I have evidence that can bring down the factory owner, but we need to meet in a safe place." Irene and Hawk looked at each other and both saw the surprise in the other's eyes.

On the appointed day, it was drizzling. They arrived at an abandoned warehouse. A person wearing a hat and a mask had been waiting there early. After carefully confirming their identities, the person took out a document from his bosom. The document recorded in detail the time, place, and amount of money that the factory owner had given to the officials, and every single transaction was traceable.

Irene and Hawk regarded the document as a precious treasure and carefully took it over. Looking at the whistleblower, Hawk said earnestly, "Don't worry. We will definitely protect you. This evidence is extremely crucial." The whistleblower nodded slightly and then disappeared into the rain in a hurry. They knew that the next move not only concerned the success or failure of the case but also the safety of the whistleblower.
