Chapter 94 – Difficulties in Enjoying Beautiful Service

Satiated, Di Ping patted his belly as someone promptly took the bowl from his hands. At this point, everyone had finished eating. Some leaned lazily against the wall, picking their teeth, perhaps because they had eaten so much that bits of food had gotten stuck. Others had already drifted off to sleep, snoring softly.

The officials of the base had also finished their meals, their faces full of satisfaction. Many were patting their stomachs. Although their portions had been smaller than Di Ping's, they were just ordinary people, and digesting the meat took a little more effort for them. Though it was not a large amount, it was enough to feel full.

"Mr. Di, what should we do with the remaining soup?" Lu Hai asked, pointing to a large iron bucket.

He appeared to have a full stomach, with traces of oil still around his mouth, suggesting he had eaten his fill. Following his gaze to the bucket, Di Ping noticed there was still a small portion of soup left, with a few pieces of meat floating inside.

"Let's do this—there are some people who are weak, sick, elderly, or children. We can give them some soup. The meat is good for ailments and weakness, so let them drink some. Who knows, after a good night's rest, they might feel better!" Di Ping looked at the remaining soup for a moment, then instructed Lu Hai.

"Got it! I'll take care of it right away. Mr. Di, you truly have a heart of gold!" Lu Hai grinned and gave a thumbs-up in admiration.

Han Zhongguo and Lu Guoliang, who had been listening nearby, exchanged pleased smiles. Their regard for Di Ping only grew. They were beginning to find him increasingly inscrutable, but they also felt more and more satisfied with him, and some thoughts began to unconsciously surface.

"Di bro!"

"Di bro!"

Lu Hai, after following Di Ping's orders, left to arrange things. At that moment, Yue Lie and Qi Han approached, a young woman following behind them.

"Oh, are you done? Got your fill of meat?" Di Ping smiled and asked them.

"Di bro, we ate! We're stuffed!" Both of them nodded with big smiles, with Liu Han even patting his belly to show just how full he was.

"Di bro, this is my girlfriend, Yang Lan." Yue Lie, a bit bashful, pulled the young woman forward to introduce her.

"Di... Di bro!"

Yang Lan was an attractive girl, fair-skinned with a slender frame, standing at about 1.68 meters tall. She had shoulder-length black hair that cascaded smoothly down her back. Her face was delicate, with well-balanced features. While she might not be as striking as the likes of Yu Shujie or Liu Bingyu, she was still above average in appearance. It seemed Yue Lie had a good eye for beauty. The girl seemed a bit nervous, her head lowered and her voice soft.

"Hello, Yang Lan! No need to be nervous! I don't eat people!" Di Ping smiled and greeted her, then laughed heartily. He gently patted Yue Lie on the shoulder and teased, "Yue Lie, you've got a good eye. Your girlfriend's beautiful! You must have begged me to help her, huh? If I were you, I'd run to me too!"

"Heh heh! Thanks, Di bro!" Yue Lie beamed, realizing that Di Ping was helping him save face. He quickly expressed his gratitude.

"Thank you, Di bro!" Yang Lan followed suit and thanked him.

"Alright, enough with the thanks, go get some rest now that you're full!" Di Ping smiled and waved them off.

"We're off then. If you need anything, just call us, Di bro!" Yue Lie and Qi Han knew Di Ping must be busy, seeing how many high-ranking officials were waiting around. They didn't want to delay him any longer and bid him farewell.

After the three left, Ge Zhongping, Han Zhongguo, and Lu Guoliang approached, inviting Di Ping to rest. Everyone was tired after the day's activities—setting up the framework in the morning and the battle in the afternoon had left everyone feeling worn out. Now that they had eaten, they could feel their eyelids growing heavy.

Di Ping didn't decline. He, too, was exhausted. After eating, he felt an overwhelming sleepiness. Led by the others, he was shown to a tidy room. The space was already prepared, with a bed and a table. A tea set was on the table, and two small LED lights illuminated the room. After a few casual exchanges, the others left, and the room was left quiet, with only Di Ping and Gina remaining.

In the corner of the room was a chair with a basin of water on it. Di Ping took off his shirt, which was stiff and stained with blood. After a quick clean-up, he noticed a fresh set of men's clothes on the bed, presumably for him. He couldn't help but appreciate the thoughtfulness of whoever had arranged everything. They had clearly anticipated every need, and the attention to detail was very reassuring. "Now, that's a capable person," Di Ping mused as he wiped away the blood.

Feeling much more at ease, Di Ping sank into the sofa and sipped some tea.

"Gina, I'll take care of it myself," he said, but Gina had already moved to pour out the dirty water from the basin, refilled it, and placed it at his feet. Then, she bent down to remove his shoes.

Di Ping quickly stopped her, but Gina didn't respond. With determination, she continued, removing his shoes and placing them in the water.

A cool sensation rose from Di Ping's feet, and he felt an unexpected comfort. As he looked down at Gina, who was washing his feet, he suddenly felt a warmth in his chest.

At this moment, Gina had removed her outer black robe, revealing a low-cut, shoulder-baring blue linen tunic. As she squatted in front of him, her body's perfect curves were now on full display. The sight of her chest, prominently elevated, left Di Ping's heart racing.
