Chapter 7: New Member?

"You know, rates from customers can rank up our guild. So even if their faults, we are just going to understand them and we'll still give them their orders." I nodded. Serene and I are here in her room, I just slept in her long couch last night even she wanted me to sleep on her bed. But I refused of course, this is her room. She even wanted me to sleep here alone and she'll just sleep in other room but I disagreed. I was the one who needed a flat, I don't have demand more.

"But doing missions can rank up us more, you know, doing tasks from guildhall will put us in the right spot if we succeed. As long as there's available, we will get it... dangerous or not." She explained more and that made me nodded once again. Of course, I have to listen to her as I live here in their world now. Big or small detail are already important to me, I need to learn their lifestyles. I have to adopt and adjut knowing that I am not that exposed with many people and other places aside from hospital.

"That's scary, in our world, police will do the work and the politicians will have the praise Well, they are alliances, most of the police are interacted with those politicians even it's legal or illegal projects. They are doing that because of money and titles." I shared.

"I think I understand what you are saying, I think that police you are talking about is, we call them knights." She uttered while nodding her head. "And we also have government here, but it run not by the politicians... but royalties." She added. It made me more curious because of what she said.

Royalties?

I fakely caugh, "royalties? Like, prince and princess? King and Queen?" I clarified. She smiled and nodded. I was in awe when she confirmed it and I can say that I'm amazed!

Just like in tv, princesses and princes live in a castle with maidservants. They live happily while they are ruling their kingdom. I watched some series and I can tell that most of them are kind but strict, they are sensitive and sophisticated. Powerful and superior. They are too far to reach I must say.

"You're right, but here in our kingdom, royalties are not what you think like fairytale." I was stiffened when she uttered those words. I narrowed my eyes because of what I've heard from her. "The king and queen, I can say, they are the best ruler in this world. But... but their children, the princesses and prince aren't. They are spoiled little brats and arrogants, elitist kind of mages." Oh, that immediately destroyed my imagination about them.

"Serene, it's already eight in the morning, get ready now." Serene and I both turned to look at the door when we heard the familiar voice from the outside.

"Miracle! You woke up so early!" Serene shouted while I am slowly cleaning up her bed. She didn't notice and before she turned her head towards me, I already perfected her bed. "I'll cook our breakfast, Aliyah, can you lend a hand? I think the other members will go home today." She smiled at me sweetly but I was stunned because as far as I know, I don't know how to cook!

"S-Serene, I don't know how to cook, the hosp—— I mean my parents do the cooking for me." I shyly said.

She just chuckled, "don't be so timid, Aliyah, okay? We're friends and even if you don't know how to cook, we are still friends! O can even help you!" She exclaimed. "Hmm, looks like you're a princess kind of person in your world, huh?" I smiled a bit because of what she said.

Being a princess is too impossible for me, I mean yes I just always sit and lay on my bed but it doesn't mean I'm that royalty kind of person... I'm.. sick. Am always on my bed and wheelchair because I was so weak that even uttering a word is already hard for me.

"Let's go!" Before I could protest, Serene already dragged me outside and we walked downstairs together. I don't know but I just felt like I really belong here. But thinking that they are many in this guild, I can't help but to feel shy because I know to myself that I am not good in interaction with strangers. I was just lucky because Serene is too bubbly while Leviticus, well, he's cold but he still talks to me.

I immediately spotted Leviticus cleaning all the tables with a cloth in his palm. He's wearing a red sando and a black taslan kind of short, I guesss. He's also wearing plain red bandana tied on his forehead that made him cool.

Hmm, if he is not just grumpy, I can say that he's really cool and handsome. Those moving biceps while he's moving his arm, it could make women drool over him. But well, he's a turn off, he's always grumpy.

"I'll cook our breakfast, I'll cook a lot in case they'll come home today." Serene uttered.

"Yeah, but I am sure that they'll come home now. I already sensed Alfalla's presence." He replied without looking to Serene. While me, I am just watching him cleaning all the tables and chairs.

"Aliyah, you can sit down in one of the sofas there. Or maybe, if you want to read, you can go to our library. In case you want to know more." Serene said while smiling. I nodded and smiled too. I really want to know more about this world so I guess reading books will help me a lot.

And maybe, I could find answers on how can I find my magic... or if I really do have magic.

"Aliyah," Leviticus called me so I immediately turned around.

"Yes?" I softly replied.

He sighed and glared at me with his red orbs, "do you want to be one of.. us?"
