Chapter ( 26 )

The vacation home was built on a small hill, offering a peaceful and serene environment. Below the house, there was a small stream and an orange grove. Located far from industrial areas, the air was fresh and clean.

Zhen Chen drove into the yard and parked in front of the house. Since the vacation home had no caretaker, he had to clean it himself when he arrived. He didn't dare use his energy recklessly, as his control over it was still unstable. He needed more practice to master it, so he did everything manually.

After some time, Zhen Chen stood in front of the house, gazing at the distant scenery. Slowly, he rose into the air and gently landed on the roof. From there, he leaped lightly to the top of a tree behind the house, standing on a branch. He then moved like a shadow, jumping from tree to tree, practicing his shadow-stepping technique.

Zhen Chen repeatedly practiced his shadow-stepping, improving his energy control and speed. By the end of the day, he could fly through the air with ease. In the evening, he took a shower and changed into the clothes he had bought earlier. He then cooked dinner using some fruits and meat he had picked up from the market.

Afterward, he contacted Zimo and asked him to bring Yu Xue Yin out of the training space.

Before Zhen Chen finished cooking, Yu Xue Yin emerged from the training space. She looked at him cooking in the kitchen and smiled.

"Chen, you're really something. The smell of your cooking is making me hungry."

Zhen Chen teased her and said, "I bought some clothes for you earlier. They're on the table. Go take a shower and change. Dinner will be ready in about an hour."

Yu Xue Yin went into the room, and Zhen Chen continued cooking. He contacted Zimo and asked, "Zimo, how is she doing? She said that once all her energy channels are connected, she can form an energy field. What level will that put her at?"

"At the Energy Condensation level..."

Zimo's answer surprised Zhen Chen. Could she really reach the Energy Condensation level so easily? That seemed too fast. If other cultivators found out that she had reached such a level in just a couple of days, they would go crazy.

Zimo understood Zhen Chen's thoughts and explained, "How many days do you think you've been cultivating? With your bloodline awakening, you should already be at the Earth Formation level. That's still considered low."

Zhen Chen thought for a moment and asked, "Then what about the other cultivators in this world? Why do they have such a hard time cultivating?"

"This world's tolerance is too weak. The cultivators here are descendants of those who were left behind and not modified by the bloodline purification process. They can only cultivate by sensing spiritual energy."

"These people are descendants of humans who were abandoned over 200,000 years ago because their bloodline energy was too weak and had no potential for advancement. They are the lowest of the low among advanced human races, with no hope of improvement."

"People like them can't compare to the Chosen Ones, who come from bloodlines with powerful energy. Ordinary humans are descendants of those who once had strong bloodline energy but have degenerated over generations. Unfortunately, very few of them have been able to awaken their bloodline energy."

Zhen Chen understood and began to think differently.

"So, in reality, ordinary humans have a better chance of awakening their bloodline and transforming. The current cultivators are descendants of those who were deemed worthless long ago. That's why they were left untouched. The more I think about it, the more astonishing it becomes."

Zimo agreed with Zhen Chen's thoughts and explained further.

"You're right. If the entire human race had no cultivators, how could they survive? That's why those with weak bloodlines and no potential were left behind, while those with potential were taken away and modified. This was done to halt progress and ensure that the powerful would eventually decline."

Zhen Chen couldn't help but ask, "Didn't anyone stand up for us humans back then? Didn't we have allies?"

"Of course, we did. Even the powerful races that wanted to exterminate the advanced human race didn't dare act recklessly because of the powerful individuals among humans and our close relationship with the Red Star Asura race. The Red Star Asura are the rulers of a massive nebula filled with red giant stars."

"They look almost identical to humans, except for the horns on their heads. The Asura race has a very close relationship with humans, and some human sub-races even settled in their nebula. Later, the Asura declared them as part of their race, granting them immunity from punishment."

Zhen Chen sighed and asked, "Do you think the human race can rise again?"

Zimo didn't answer immediately. After a while, he said, "I can't figure out why the powerful figures behind the human race have remained silent for so long. But I think they're prioritizing something else over the revival of the human race."

Zhen Chen muttered, "Something more important than the revival of our race? What could be more important than helping our people rise again?"

Zimo replied in a bitter tone, "Do you think everything is as simple as you imagine? For example, why did humans surrender so easily back then? If they had fought to the end, the enemy would have paid a heavy price to defeat them. Another thing is that after the war, some of the human war gods disappeared without a trace. The human leaders claimed they died in battle, but there was no concrete evidence."

"Another point is that we don't know what agreements were made between the invading races and humans when they retreated into the black hole. Dividing territories alone wouldn't have been enough to satisfy the human race. When you put all these together, it's possible that everything was prearranged. For example, in preparation for another black hole invasion..."

Zhen Chen's head was spinning as he tried to process all this. How could he possibly comprehend the thoughts and plans of humans from hundreds of thousands of years ago?

He shook his head and sighed. "Whatever it is, all of that is far beyond me. Even if the sky falls, or the entire universe collapses, it's the taller races who will have to hold it up, right? We're just the smallest ones at the bottom. No need to worry too much."
