Chapter 1

"Satoru...?" David whispered, his voice trembling with disbelief.

It was Satoru Gojo, standing before him as if plucked straight from the pages of Jujutsu Kaisen.

"Father."

David's eyes widened in shock. Father?! Did he just hear that right? He blinked, trying to make sense of the situation, but the word echoed in his mind.

'Did he just call me father?!' David thought, his heart racing.

The situation seemed utterly ridiculous like something ripped straight from the dreams of a manga fan, but it was happening. He couldn't deny what was before him—he had somehow been transported into Jujutsu Kaisen as none other than Satoru Gojo's father! The absurdity of it all made his head spin.

Before he could fully process this, Satoru's calm voice broke through his thoughts.

"Father," Satoru repeated, his voice smooth and respectful, though his sharp blue eyes were as intense as ever. "I sensed something here..."

David snapped out of his reverie, forcing himself to focus. "Sensed... something?"

Satoru Gojo's abilities were legendary. He possessed Limitless, a powerful technique that allowed him to manipulate space at an atomic level, controlling the very fabric of reality itself. But that wasn't all—Six Eyes, an innate technique unique to the Gojo family, allowed him to see and comprehend cursed energy in ways no one else could. His vision was near-omniscient regarding the flow of cursed energy, allowing him to detect even the smallest shifts in the environment accurately.

David could only assume that Satoru's Six Eyes sensed something amiss, explaining why he had entered the room. But David couldn't help but wonder—why would Satoru need to enter the office? Couldn't he just sense everything from outside, with his ability to see the flow of cursed energy throughout an entire area?

Satoru, almost as if reading his thoughts, shook his head slightly. "I apologize, Father. It seems I was mistaken," he said, his tone a bit more relaxed. "Sorry for disturbing you."

With that, Satoru turned gracefully and slid the door closed with a soft shh, leaving David alone in the quiet room once more.

David let out a deep breath, finally allowing himself to react. His hand instinctively went to his forehead, his mind reeling from the sheer absurdity of it all. He glanced up at the ceiling, feeling a mix of disbelief and anxiety bubbling up inside him.

"Haa..." he exhaled heavily. This situation still felt surreal.

He rubbed his temples, trying to understand what had just happened. Somehow, he was here, in this world, as Satoru Gojo's father. But as the reality of his new existence set in, his thoughts drifted to the people he had left behind.

His daughter.

The image of her face flashed in his mind, her smile, the sound of her laughter. A deep ache filled his chest as he thought of her, the one person who meant everything to him. How could he be here, in this strange new world, while she was still back in his old one? Was she safe? Was she worried about him? The thought alone nearly drove him to panic.

And then, Daniel. His best friend. What would he say if he knew David had somehow crossed into a fictional world? They had joked about it before, but now... it wasn't a joke. It was real.

"Did I truly die and get transported here?" he muttered under his breath, his mind racing.

The last thing he remembered was collapsing on the floor, his body failing him after being shot twice. His life flashed before his eyes—his wife, daughter, Daniel—and then... nothing. He had blacked out, and now he was here, standing in a lavish, traditional Japanese room, talking to Satoru Gojo.

Everything was confusing and disorienting. The transition from life to... whatever this was. Was this reincarnation? A second chance? Or something else entirely?

David stood in the center of the room, lost in thought, surrounded by his new life's unfamiliar yet ornate surroundings. The weight of his situation pressed down on him, and the uncertainty of his future gnawed at his mind. All he knew was that he had to find a way to make sense of this world if he was here.

'Since I'm now here, I might as well try to survive.'

David's mind whirred with the reality of his situation. He could theoretically avoid the chaos by flying out of Japan, distancing himself from the inevitable unfolding events. But that was only possible if he were some nameless extra.

He wasn't.

He was the father of Satoru Gojo, one of the most important figures in the entire series. No matter how far he ran, being Satoru's father meant he would be tied to every major event. His connection to Satoru would pull him into the heart of the storm, no matter where he went.

So, if running wasn't an option, the only thing left to do was to change some things in the plot. He didn't know the full extent of his role in this world, but he knew enough about what was coming—which wasn't good.

First, he had to focus on raising Satoru. The way Satoru had addressed him earlier—formal, distant, calling him "Father" in a tone that felt more like respect than warmth—hinted at a cold distance between them.

That wasn't going to work.

David needed to form a stronger bond with Satoru to make sure he was more than just an authoritative figure in his life. If Satoru felt supported by him, they might be able to face the challenges ahead together.

He remembered one small detail from the series: Satoru loved sweets. It seemed trivial, but it might be his first step in breaking through that icy formality. If he could connect with Satoru on a more personal level—be more of a real father to him rather than just an imposing figure—it might change the course of their relationship.

Secondly, David needed to train. As Satoru's father, there was a strong chance he possessed Limitless, the powerful technique passed down through the Gojo family or even Six Eyes. Even if he didn't have Six Eyes, Limitless alone was an incredible power if mastered. And he would need to master it because there was one major threat looming over everything: Kenjaku.

Kenjaku was the mastermind behind many terrible events that would unfold, manipulating cursed energy and pulling strings from the shadows.

If David was going to survive—and more importantly, if he was going to protect Satoru and change this world—he would need to prepare himself to take on that threat. He wasn't under any illusions about how difficult it would be, but if he could train his abilities and reach a point where he could face Kenjaku head-on, it might be possible to shift the trajectory of events. He wouldn't let the future spiral into chaos without a fight.

Thirdly, there was the matter of Toji Fushiguro. David wasn't entirely sure what to do about him yet. Toji, the assassin who would later clash with Satoru, was a wild card. He was a dangerous man with no cursed energy but immense physical prowess and skills, making him deadly.

If David somehow changed his fate, Toji might become an ally instead of an enemy. The key to that, David reasoned, could lie in Megumi, Toji's son. If he could find a way to intervene and leverage Toji's connection to Megumi, he might be able to sway him and stop him from becoming the man who would kill Satoru and cause havoc. Toji was a powerful ally if David could play this right. His motivations were complex, but they weren't beyond reach.

It was still a vague plan, with too many unknowns, but David knew he had to start somewhere. Satoru, Kenjaku, Toji—those were his key pieces in the game. If he could influence even a few things, the future might shift in their favor.

"Gojo-sama, dinner is ready," a soft voice called from the doorway.

David turned, blinking out of his thoughts. He was still adjusting to being called "Gojo-sama," but he nodded, gathering himself.

He wasn't just David anymore. He was now the father of the future strongest sorcerer in this world. And from here on out, every decision he made would have consequences.
