Chapter 8: Blue Rose Academy.

After Alicia confirmed that Frenrin did, in fact, possess the 'Death' element, she asked Frenrin for his name in a gentle tone.

"My name is Frenrin."

"Frenrin, from now on, you will be a student at Bluerose Academy. Your living situation will be accommodated for, and you will be enrolled here for the next ten years."

Frenrin nodded. "I obviously do not have a choice. The reason she had Paul bring me was to make me fearful of the world and show me how weak I am."

As Frenrin thought, Alicia continued.

"Who is the person with you, Paul?"

Fin reacted very quickly; his nerves were tense, so he responded almost immediately.

"My name is Fin. I was recruited by Paul to be a bag carrier."

Alicia stroked her chin, pondering.

"Why is he actually here?" she asked, looking straight at Paul.

Paul smiled a little while responding. "He is here to accompany me later to report a few things."

Alicia sighed before waving Paul and Fin away; she clearly knew the true purpose of Fin.

"The two of you are dismissed. Frenrin, I will have someone show you to your room."

Alicia then put her finger inside a hole in her desk, and after some time, she pulled out her finger, and a person arrived.

They were young, likely an older student; he was tall and lanky, with eye bags and pale skin. He looked somewhat similar to Frenrin.

Before Frenrin was escorted to his room, Alicia took note of Garmr.

"Hmmm, that is your pet, correct?" Alicia said as she pointed at Garmr.

Frenrin grew nervous; Garmr did as well. If the two were separated, it would be harder to talk telepathically—not to mention their friendship.

"Yes, that is my pet dog, Garmr. He's my very best friend... Please don't separate him from me..." Frenrin executed his puppy eyes tactic, although it was not needed. Alicia would do a lot more to curry favor with Frenrin, let alone allow a dog to live in his room.

Alicia spoke with a smile. "Don't worry, dear; I have no intention of separating the two of you."

"I was just curious, as I have never seen a dog that looks like him. It's a very dignified look."

Garmr sat down and gave a prideful look. Alicia felt a bit put off by how the dog seemed to understand her perfectly but ignored it.

Alicia returned to the topic. "This boy is named Sven; he has been notified of your situation. He is not only your guide but will also be your pseudo-guard from now on."

Sven gave a light smile; his eyes closed slightly as he waved to Frenrin.

"My name is Sven. I will be your guide from now on." Sven's reply was very short; it correlated with how he looked like he was about to faint just from standing, though.

"My name is Frenrin. I'm glad to be in your care." Although Frenrin said this, he, in fact, thought poorly of Sven; he was malnourished and flimsy, looking similar to a skeleton about to fall apart.

Alicia nodded, seemingly approving of their introductions. "Sven, go show Frenrin to his room and explain about the academy on the way, please."

Sven's face was expressionless as he bowed slightly, replying, "Understood."

Soon, Frenrin, Garmr, and Sven made their way down the halls.

Contrary to what Alicia said, Sven did not talk or explain about the academy. As Frenrin's patience dwindled a bit, eventually, Sven said something.

"Before you arrived, I wrote down all the information I have on Bluerose in a book for you."

After Sven finished saying this, he handed Frenrin a book. It wasn't very long, but it wasn't short.

Frenrin nodded. "Thank you."

Sven nodded back. "If you need assistance with something specific, I left my routine inside the book as well."

Frenrin thanked him once again, and eventually, the three made their way to the room.

The room was moderately sized; it was about the size of an average apartment. Its furniture and decor, on the other hand, were anything but average.

After Frenrin and Garmr made their way inside the room, Sven left after a short goodbye.

Frenrin recalled his experience so far in Bluerose; everything was extravagant and screamed richness. Although Frenrin didn't care about things like that, it still showed that Bluerose was definitely not simple.

But thinking a bit more, it was odd—there was almost nobody inside the academy. Despite its wide hallways and extravagant decor, there was almost nobody there to appreciate it.

After Frenrin opened the first few pages of the book Sven gave him, he realized that it was because, currently, the academy was not in session. Most kids were back visiting family or doing "tasks" from the outdoor skills class.
