Chapter 12: Thomas's Arrival.

Ten minutes later.

The food arrived; Garmr started chowing down on some sort of meat from who knows what. Meanwhile, Frenrin was eating some sort of creamy spaghetti with blue sauce and some meat.

Frenrin's food had an umami taste while being incredibly rich from the sauce. Overall, it was very good, and it suited Frenrin's taste buds.

Frenrin looked over at Garmr, who was eating the food in a seated position, using his claws to bring the food up to his mouth before taking a bite.

As Frenrin and Garmr continued their meals, a person walked over. It was Erin.

Erin sat down at the table and brought out a map. "I copied the map for you; it should be fairly similar to the real one. I also added a few notes to certain places for you."

The map looked like it had been drawn by a toddler, but it should be as useful as the original.

Frenrin got up and shook hands with Erin. "Thank you very much! If there's anything I can do to repay you, just let me know."

Erin acted bashful and waved his hand. "It really isn't a problem. Is there anything else you're having trouble with?"

Frenrin shook his head. "No, there isn't anything else I can think of, and I wouldn't want to bother you anymore."

Erin continued, "Really? That's too bad. Are you sure there isn't anything? Please don't hold ba—" As Erin was talking, a voice from across the room shouted out.

"Can you shut the fuck up? Your dick sucking is so loud I can hear it from across the cafeteria!" A student, similar in age to Erin, walked over toward the group.

Erin bolted up from his seat with an angry expression. "How about you shut the fuck up?"

As Thomas walked over, Frenrin got a good look at his appearance. He had the same outfit as Erin, blonde hair, a sharp and thick jawline, a tall stature, and a pretty well-built body.

Thomas walked over in a mocking tone. "How ab-bout you shut the f-uck up! Sorry if I interrupted your orgy session over here, but I personally don't enjoy somebody sucking another person's dick while I'm trying to eat."

Erin squeezed his fingers together, making a fist, ready to say something before Frenrin coughed and interrupted him. "It's not nice to talk to another person like that," Frenrin said as he waved his fork around.

Thomas retorted, "I can talk however I want, unless you think you can do something about it."

Frenrin spoke plainly. "No, I can't do anything about it, but that doesn't mean you should do it. Just a suggestion," Frenrin said with a smile.

Thomas snorted. "You're right about not being able to do anything, but anyway, why is Erin over here sucking you off so hard?"

Erin cut in. "I was simply just being a good senior; not everybody is as big of a douche as you."

Thomas replied, "You're the biggest ass-kisser in the world! Everybody knows how you cling to anybody slightly important."

As Thomas said this, he looked over at Frenrin. "So do you come from some sort of noble family or something?"

Frenrin no longer hesitated; he was expecting other people to ask about him after seeing Erin. "I cannot say; I'm sorry."

Thomas continued, "What's your name, then?"

Frenrin smiled. "Frenrin. My name is Frenrin."

Thomas's face froze. "Frenrin? Is that what you said?" Thomas asked with a serious expression.

Frenrin nodded, not noticing Thomas's odd behavior.

Thomas spoke. "I know you! My dad talked about you!"

Frenrin felt a lump go down his throat while Thomas continued.

Erin, meanwhile, was excited. Due to Thomas's behavior, he assumed that Frenrin might even have royal blood!

Thomas shouted out very loudly, "He has the 'Death' element!"

Erin: "..."

Frenrin sighed and placed his hand on his head. 'There goes my plan of building myself a good image first.'

Several students gasped out loud in the background, some even turning slightly pale.

Erin looked over and asked Frenrin, "Is that really true?"

Frenrin looked over with a downcast expression. "Yes, it is true. But that does not change who I am!"

Frenrin tried to lighten Erin's mood, but nothing changed.

Erin spoke lightly. "I have to go now; I need to go cultivate..."

Frenrin watched as Erin walked away. Meanwhile, Thomas was still staring at Frenrin. His expression was no longer serious; instead, it seemed a bit happy, if anything.

Thomas walked over and sat down opposite Frenrin. "I heard from my dad that the 'Death' element is really powerful... How about we go and spar in the training grounds?"

Frenrin sighed. "I don't even know how to use my element yet."

Thomas was slightly confused. "How long have you been here?"

Frenrin replied, "I arrived here yesterday."

Thomas shook his head. "Well, that explains it, but it's fine; we can spar without our elements."

Frenrin felt glad internally. 'Somebody is actually trying to get closer to me, despite knowing about my element,' is what Frenrin was currently thinking.

Frenrin and Thomas walked toward the sparring ground while Garmr followed from behind.

Thomas looked back and saw Garmr. "Your dog is... interesting-looking."

Frenrin replied, "Thank you?"

They walked in silence the rest of the way, while Garmr and Frenrin talked to each other.

Garmr spoke. "That Thomas kid is incredibly sketchy; he's definitely trying to do something."
